  • what is the strumming?

  • Thank you, excellent explanation!!!

  • What's with the backlighting asks Ben

  • Great lesson, have you done a lesson for the right hand at all yet?

  • @madgeniusmusic I have not made a lesson for the right hand strumming yet. When I made the first few lessons I thought no one would have difficulties with that.. dont know why.

  • and theres no C diminished either

  • sorry but thats terrible everything is good but your explination on the G doing the lead intro after the chords that lead up to it is not very good info. sorry to sound like dick mate but its true your not showing the exact notes yes them chords are correct but we cant hear the notes that are picked. only one thing for it i will have to do a lesson myself

  • Great lesson.. Thanks.

  • hello you sound great what your strumming pattern ? only thing that i struggle with . thanks ,

  • Great lesson! Thank you very much!

  • you play great

  • some people like me have no clue where o put our fingers besides that its ok

  • Amazing video , i'm learning this great song! thanks !

  • One of my all time favorite songs, I can't wait to learn to play it from your vid...thanks

  • Good Lesson, but I have problem with right hand.

  • @Muuminja Hi and thanks for watching the video. When I posted this I assumed most people would know what to do with the right hand. Also Im using an old picture camera with video mode so my zooming capabilities are limited. I will make another lesson showing both hands. In the meantime look at Brian May playing the song- search for --- Queen: A night at the Opera - '39

  • Great lesson! Helped me figure out how to play the beginning finally. Though I would like to make a small correction at around 6:55. You say you play a Cdim, but that's actually a Cadd9.

  • @thenyeguy Thanks for pointing that out. And for watching the vid. I made the correction in the description box and added an annotation to correct the Cdim to Cadd9. To be honest, Im still just learning music theory, so dims and adds and sus can be tricky.

  • @LowFlyer1200 Not a problem, I understand what that's like. If you want a little help learning that, I've seen a lot of people say that musictheory(dot)net helped them a lot to learn basic theory.

  • Just another note, Nice job and thanks for taking the time to teach me something I couldn't play before.

  • You're welcome. It's nice to get some feedback on this. If I help only one person it wasn't a waste of time.

I'll be posting more lessons so check in from time to time for new stuff, probably on Queen. =)

  • Nice job, well taught. I learned the song quickly. Thanks for teaching it..

  • Hey man - You just taught me this song, which has kind of baffled me for years, thanks! I especially like the way you took me through it; pace was excellent, you show the tabs on screen and in the text, and you covered every part of the song.

As far as the degree of difficulty to play, I'm finding the rhythm, fast chord changes, and those little diddly things Brian May does challenging to nail down, but I'm having a LOT of fun playing this great song! Thanks for showing me the way brother!

  • Great!!! I'm glad this is helping someone. This songs been eluding me for a while, too. Either I'm getting better or music is getting easier.

This is a good tune to practice those chord changes. Just stick with it and you'll be playing it like Brian in no time.

    Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • Wow...

  • nice job. how do you play your B7?

  • I posted a notation at 2:47 on the video with a chord tab.

  • Nice, thanks for the lesson.
