lovely song for piano - relatively easy to play and improvise. Makes you admire the talent of the original music makers. You explain this very well and I can embody it and do it in my own style. Keep going - great stuff and thanks for being generous!
Hi Mike. Always wanted to be able to play ONE decent song on piano but sheet music doesn't show all the extra twiddley bits. Always fancied doing an Elton John song (see what I mean) but this would be awesome! I play guitar/bass (in a covers band) so guitar tabs help although they are invariably wrong. Thankfully I can figure out the guitar parts.Nice to see a decent FOLLOWABLE tutorial. Cheers.
hello. First sorry but seems that i am blind or my ear ain't that good :P
At the beginning you are explaining that it starts from all chords pressed down
like you wrote B B F# B D# F#. And then u play and sing along but u don't explain what u play. I know u are pressing those chords but i don't know which order and when i play it i can't grasp it (my key is 77 so sound is little off) Can u explain please?
Meant to add, have you ever tried to play a song called Alone again Naturally by Gilbert O'sullivan, I have the sheet music, but boy complicated chords etc for my level.
Hi Mike, you mention about intro to this song, maybe I am not looking hard enough, but have u made a video on the intro, I have worked out some of intro, e.g the SHarp keys in right hand and the Eb octive in left, but after one does that twice, what is next step. Thanks Phil, ps keep up the good work.
@MikesMusic123 i would still really appreciate if you can tell me the chords order pretty please :) I kow you don't think about it but i am sure you can point them out after u play while watching on your hands :D I love this song and i really want to learn it :)

a good question, yes all the notes are there and im not really thinking about which notes to play . If you just play the full chords
and start tapping to the beat , maybe along with the original tune, then slowly walk up and down the chords to the beat.
if you keep the chords straight you cant go wrong
