yeah when ppl say stuff like - the animal doesn't feel that much pain or it won't remember or anything like that - what they really doing is trying to comfort themselves by the approved technique of ignoring anything that might disturb their conscience...

first of all: sharks are fish
second: the red-tailed black shark is a shark in name only. it's a fish about 5 inches big and its fins make it look like a shark. ;)

also, on myth busters they trained a fish to go through holes in order to reach their food, so they must have longer memories than that.
