Richie sure does justice to tradition with his playing....I can only get the feeling of true "old time" through Richies playing....He has an authentic reality there... that puts you around the campfire, and just thinking of the day today, and the day to come....while he plays respectfully....super special, and all to rare.

Those old Fairbanks banjos are great, don't see many of them anymore!! And he plays it well also!!!

It's weird how things come around. I saw the Horesflies at the Great Hudson River Clearwater Revival many years ago and immediately bought the album Human Fly. I didn't know he was involved with that group until I did a search, of course being curious to know more about the artists that were performing on my banjo. As huge as this world is, it just seems to get smaller with time.
