  • Cooder is such an undervalued musician, and such good value in concert, Saw him play for three straight hours with a towel around his neck. This piece is so atmospheric, thanks for posting.

  • Fender and a Pignose!!

  • dammmmmmn that sounds sweet!!!!!!!!!

  • barefoot & wet....if he really played he would have been roasted :D

  • @underhillwest Playing thru a pignose? Don't think so

  • "This will be taken down as soon as Thesis is over."

    hope that it´ll never be.

  • if delta blues doesn't touch you then your dead inside

  • Damn pretty...You know, I had a girlfriend with a Ry Cooder once. Couple of treatments with penicillin and some topical ointments cleared it right up.

  • Cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool movie. If you think this movie is racist you are a bigotted baboon racist yourself.

  • Good movie.

  • I've hated this cornball racist movie for more years than I can remember.

  • Where can I find the full DVD of this? This movie looks amazing from what I've seen

  • Ralph maybe be playing the guitar in the scene but it is really Ry Cooder playing the tune .

  • I'm a metal head...but I respect and love the blues for what it is.

  • You play blues when you feel bad to hear that others felt bad for the same reason too because you aren't the first person to feel bad for any kind of reason. Then you don't feel so alone. And you play blues when you feel good to share feeling good with others and laugh about troubles you had and let those who feel bad know they aren't alone, then you ALL feel good. Playing blues isn't about feeling bad, it's about feeling good again, and staying feeling good. Blues is redemption from sadness.

  • I believe it was B.B. King that said "the blues is whats good about feeling bad."

  • Daniel-san is tearin that shit up man...

  • all the music on this movie was done by Steve Vai guys, the head cutter at the end of the movie

  • @brucekirk89 Stevai did the classical solo part that Ralf played and the solos he played by himself. All the slide stuff is played by Ry Cooder :)

  • @ssgt725

YEP It's "Feelin ' Bad Blues" and can be found on 'Crossroads: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack'

The actual song is twice as long 4:16 and you can download mp3 from Amazon.

Check out the rest of the tracks too. There's some great tunes on it.

  • 100th like

  • WTF??? A Pignose portable with tremolo and reverb? yeah...right...

  • @wfd57fatman We all know the reality of it is beans...but the music is simply fricking enthralling....suspend belief for 2 mins 14 seconds lol :D This stuff hits me in all the right ways :D

  • @wfd57fatman RIGHT ON THE MONEY FATMAN!! :) I wish they made a Pignose like that!!

  • great!

  • This is the best scene in the movie.

The music is already so emotional, and then when Willie starts speaking, the music becomes even more powerful.

  • Blues is America, Jack. America is Blues.

  • This scene embodies the blues for me. I've been driving across the US for a few weeks now, from VA to GA, Mississippi, all the way to Arizona and I've seen little towns and crossroads that I can imagine not changing in 70 years, the sound of a slide guitar accompanying the sound of the miles passing under my tyres. This Scottish girl loves American blues.

  • this is an absolutly great sound to hear!

  • does anyone know what tuning he is in

  • @cooladenyou1 Open D

  • Feelin' Bad Blues

  • Good luck with your thesis.

  • a wise man once said blues aint nothing but a good man feeling bad, and here we go guys, this is exactly that, beautifull absolutly beautifull

  • @itspietime4u .. a wise man once said the blues ain't nothin' but a man feeling bad, thinking about the good times he had, with a woman he once knew (loved).

  • Oh My God, Thank you for putting this up MAN, this is too hard to get, And now that I have I I'll Never let it go
