Had a single Inguinal groin hernia mesh repaired at Basingstoke Hospital (UK) at 10am yesterday and im yet to sleep - 22 hrs later. Chronic pain so far, but of course early days yet. Just hope i'm one of the lucky ones with this...
I had double hernia surgery about 9 months ago with mesh and staples. The 6-8 weeks recovery is a joke. What that means is that you can possibly go back to work and doing things after 6-8 weeks. But, after 9 months there is still soreness at the repairs. I think one or two staples went in on nerves. But, I am functional now and had to get the surgery or die. I would advise to go to a hernia specialist. The general surgeon stapled a nerve on me and I am still sore after 9 months.
I got a worse Hernia from listening to this guy comentate this video. Thanks for the sexual dysfunction over and over like fuck this sucks:( Thanks for video it was informative though. God bless:)
-Xlnt. advise! --compared to Utube-videos in which doctor$ advise dangerous surgery (ie: slicing you open); -as an Inguinal-hernia can usually be lived with, simply via smaller-meals, loosing-weight to reduce hernia-stress; -and upon feeling swelling & groin-pain, asap 'lay upon your back' 10-30 minutes, letting gravity drain hernia/intestinal-liquids internally, while you gently massage/urge under-skin protruding intestine-loop itself to recede back internally, -then resume mild activities!
@AryanKnight >> sure, I lived with mine for over six years but eventually it started getting unmanageable. Eventually, I ended up in the emergency room with an incarcerated bowel. I had double hernias. Eventually, they will have to be surgically repaired. You can go through years of pain and incapacity and get all in bad shape, out of shape and weak like I did and make your recovery ten times more difficult or you can go ahead and get them fixed, go through the recovery and get your life back.
@Papadaddyvideos <---thank you for your insight about finally having a surgical-operation for double-hernias! While my own hit me like a ton of bricks while obtaining several 4x8-ft. 3/4"-plywood sheets at HomeDepot; -and almost passed-out driving home in excruciating-pain; -now 11-mos. later without an operation, i've trimmed my waist, take nutritional-supplements, and NO longer need to hold my hand over my groin-area while walking my G.Shepherd twice daily with NO pain now.!!
Now i'm worried..
