During the summer I would believe that a guy like Kobe is putting in 6-8 hours. 30 minutes to an hour of cardio,1 to 1 1/2 hours in the weight room, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours of drills, and 2 hours of shooting in the evening. That seems reasonable to me, and that's not even counting any pickup games he might play, film work or extra moves he might be adding to his game. For a guy like Kobe, I don't doubt it at all.
I practice for 10 hours and still don't wanna leave the court sometime s 4 12 hours who knows if im crazy or not i just love grtting the ball in the hoop in one spot and when im in my jam i shoot and go into a different spot every time until i come to the same spot so kobe is not crazy i guess i am

the amount of time isn't the most important part, its what he's doing in those 8 hours that matters. its better to work smart, than hard, but even better to put them together
to make it to the Nba is simple you only need 2 things:1) is Talent and 2) is time and money to train! with those two things theres nothing stopping you!
@Andrizzleism no.. u can have all the talent, time and money in the world, and u wont make it to the NBA. u need commitment and motivation.. the drive to want to succeed THEN u have talent :)
@AgelAssassin lol you can shine in london ............there are camps there are college teams......make yourself big here ....so big that you will make noise they can hear in the states .....then colleges will be after you so you could get a scholership to the usa.....or try playing in europe find a way to make it happen its hard though basketball is getting competitive in the uk now i see kids with better jumpshots then adults
@FREEDOM23100 Is it possible to play bball in university in the UK? Im polish and I live in south England ;d I'm putting the work in and I really want to know how to move to the next level, if universities in England give this opportunity.
@DomBallingHard yes it is .......every university has a basketball team in the uk that place each other in league format ...if your extremely talented you can even get a sports scholership which would give you £30,000 . There are opportunities to excel in basketball in uk
@FREEDOM23100 Ok thanks a lot. I'm only 14 so I got a long way in front of me ;) and Im happy that its possible to play in a league between uni's in UK. Thanks again ;). I will work hard as hell to get that scholarship as u said.
@DomBallingHard yeh good luck your 14 so your really young thats a good thing if you need advice on anything like improving vertical nutrition and that let me know and good luck !
@FREEDOM23100@FREEDOM23100 Thank u man. I will find your advice useful after I get back from my recovery. I have operation this summer, 26th of August, and then I will need to wait up to 9 months till I can play again.... I know its terrible, that just means I gotta put in the work, and I will, trust me. I started playing a bit late, so I can sorta play now, I can do most things apart from training my vertical jump, because of my knee. Once I get back, like I said, I will train hard as hell. ;)
@DomBallingHard yhh wow injuries can be tough but there is always a way around it and with leg injuries my advice is to do a lot of swimming its could therapy for knee injuries and is a good alternate workout for legs if injured
@AgelAssassin NONSENSE AND BULLSHIT ...............................................people say you need to be naturally gifted to make it to the nba but with hardwork you can make it .......the greatest player of all time got cut from his high school team if he was a naturally gifted player im sure he wouldnt have got cut ......just gotta work hard and put in the work ....focus on every aspect of the game and stay consistant with it and be religious about training and also focus on nutrition
dudes if he doesnt practice for 8 hours how does he become so good lol also if he slacks off a bit he might get fired for a bad performance on the court lol
Guys I dont get this but does it make sense? I play pick up ball against D2 players and some great players MON WED FRI I go as hard as I can at full speed and i dont think i just perform and we play for 2-3 hours balls out 3x a week. I also go to the gym later just to do my full body workout something basic but its like an hour long workout i try my best at that to. The indivudal practice I get alone is just to run a few sprints make 50 free throws 100 layups after pickup ball. Contunied...
@Obi1BenoBEE30 Then during my games sunday I do well doing that, i play in a very competative leauge sundays with few pro players and mostly college guys. I use to do 300-500 makes a day some ball handling and never play pickup games or really do much working out. I would just practice alone doing layups and a bunch of those shots. Game time would come and I would miss shots miss freethrows wouldnt have a great feel for the game and i would think more then perform feeling like a practice player
why r they talking bout AI. ai even said he was jk, ai obviously practised his ass off being raised in the ghetto and then being the #1 pick. he was mvp cuz he practised, DUHHHH. but u gotta love kobe hehe
lol i use to do 3 - 7 hours a day. but just saying if you are growing still, dont do that cus you wil get the osgood schlatter disease. meaning you will get a soar feeling under your knee or a pain

if you have actually worked out on something like basketball or soccer or practicing for marathon... 8 hours will kill you. 1 hour is a lot and after that you will kill yourself if you are actually working hard like skin is peeling off your bottoms of feet and your legs hurt for couple days and your bleeding sweat. ii love kobe but 8hrs? pfft.
well ummm kobe's workout isnt running hard throughout those 8 hrs.. he may be lifting weights.. . .practicing on his footwork, shooting jumpers, its not all that bad if u know exactly what hes doing... u have to be committed though....
@Ammaculate44 well im 20 years old and im going to cal poly univ....and i start for their basketball team and i have a 3.0 gpa so im good...... just waiting on graduating in about a year........and ill be doing engineering as a profession.... so my life is pretty good right now how about urs........??????....lol
@tech2kn0w I practice 4 to 5 hours a day in basketball and I would imagine kobe could do twice as much as me so its easy to believe for me. Its probably cuz ur hella out of shape why it seems so impossible for u
@tech2kn0w.........yea he's probably out of shape....lol...i play about 4 to 5 hours a day too easy....if you love the game its easy...and if your in shape lol
Don't forget to add white women to that list.

6-8 hours. What a lier.
If he goes all out on his practices it's humanly impossible to practice that long.
Unless he spends like 4 hours on film, and he shoots 2 hours of freethrows or some shit like that.
