Chinese tradition depicted Xiang Yu's fall as a tragedy while the fall of Lu as justly deserved.
All of these men are mighty, it matters no who is better. Lu Bu was unparalleled in duels and was a self-taught master martial artist. Tadakatsu was never injured in 50+ battles despite wearing little armor and always opting to be the vanguard or rear guard, the most dangerous positions, and being damn good at it too. Keiji drove off an army of 10,000 with only 8 men by his side. Xiang Yu was able to slay 100 men in a single battle and had performed other mighty deeds before.

His status was only enhanced to give more credits to other characters like Cao Cao, Guan Yu.etc that defeated* him. Even prior to DW series, Diao Chan was recorded to hate him

Of course he didn't attack the 100,000 troop head on, he used a lot of strategies. Since then Sun Quan became a ZhangLiao-phobia.

I had a save file on Dynasty Warriors 4: Empires with a CAW named Xiang Yu. He was basically a purple Yellow Turban with Gan Ning's sword. I had no idea at the time that he actually existed. Boy, I was gobsmacked when I heard his name in the character roster for this game.

@darkvathman the theme is definately epic I have to say, but LuBu's ultimate remix of his already impecable theme is redundant so yea I'd say this theme is cooler in a sense that it's new.. but whenever you hear that one rift from LuBu's theme people would blow
