Imelda credits her sister Maria for teaching her how to sing and encouraged her to keep with her music no matter how hard it got at times. Imelda sings the praises of Maria in almost every interview. She adores her older sister beyond most sibling relationships. Imelda had the personality to go along with her singing talent, and Maria knew to keep pushing Imelda in the singing direction. Maria gave her all the love and courage to keep on going. What a wonderful gift from an older sister.
