Graham Taylor was unlucky.....he got England right after their 1990 WCUP success and Gazza was out injured.. Remember everyone thinks Bobby Robson was a genius after 1990 but.....he was also lamabasted after England's 1988 Euro championship failure. and who can forget the headline after a draw with Saudi in 1988: "England Mustapha New Manager." LOL

I remember my first memory of England was the game against San Marino under Taylor that ultimately meant we failed to qualify for USA94 and after a few seconds they scored and the look on Taylor's face as if he had been shot in the stomach. 2 words to describe the fella "HOOF HOOF"

got mine on the car boot sale - VHS video for 50 pence on a Charity stall - it was better than nothing and it was interesting to see players that are now managers .
For all his faults , the consensus of opinion was that he was a decent fella .
