I went to a mosque and they seemed more interested in the rows being straight, no spaces between sisters and keeping your back straight. All that shit kinda puts you off your stroke, the prayer is hard to concentrate on after being admonished for all that. Would God really care if the line isn't straight/your feet aren't touching those of the person next to you? I doubt it.

The whole point of people praying towards Kaaba is for ORDER/DISCIPLINE and nothing else! If people had a choice than do you really think that an arrogant rich man would want to stand next to a poor man? Sticking to people makes you humble in a way (my point anyway). The reason they were keen on the row being straight is because that is the sunnah of salat, Shaytan goes in between the spaces that are open, connecting to your bro/sis in salah also connects the heart masha Allah.
