I prefer the german version, but damn I love the lyrics in this version:

i mean, of course the storyline and everything is basically the same to the german version, but the choice of words is slightly different. great band no matter what! :)

Campino's mother is English and he grew up bilingual. So any accent you might hear simpy is his or his family's way to speak English but not a German accent.

I have to admit, though, that the lyrics don't sound English but more like German lyrics translated into English.

Ich finde die Deutsche Sprache auch gut. Vorallem ist sie schwerer als Englisch. Allein schon durch die Groß - und Kleinschreibung.

Ich persönlich finde Englisch aber auch nicht schlecht. Kann es zwar nicht perfekt sprechen aber wenn es drauf ankommt verstehen sie mich.

I don't speak German and I'll even agree that German is 10,000 Times better for this song. Most likely because german is a more commanding language "used a few words on my dogs and they frooze right on Q" and because Die Toten Hosen is a German band anyways. I like both though. I can completely understand the English one and I still enjoy the German version too. Great band in general with songs like: You're Dead, Pushed Again, Bye Bye Alex and "of course" Hier Kommt Alex - WHO CAN'T LIKE THEM?

I like both versions of this song a lot. But I think the german vocals are a bit more intense, and fit the song just slightly better. with that said, "Bonnie And Clyde" is a great song no matter the version you're listening to.
