It's Romo's FIRST full year and he threw for 4000 YDS+ and 36 TDs, helped deliver a 13-4 season , first seed in the playoffs and a pro bowl appearance!
not just that, he actually played a pretty good game. when your recievers screw up 3 (yes count them, three) potential touchdown passes and the line gets too tired to pick up the blitz in the 4th its kind of hard for ANYONE to win. and if dallas doesnt do something about their penalty problem they arent going very far next year either. a dozen penalties is terrible!
As far as the penalties problem goes, I can't help but feel that is a coaching problem. I like Wade Phillips A LOT but he is either going to have to get really tough on his players when it comes to this ridiculous penalties situation, or we'll be seeing a new head coach in the not so distant future. I don't want that.
they did it under parcells too. i think that part of it is habit (that they have developed the last few years), part of it is reputation (once you are a well known high penalty team the refs may look a lot closer at you), and part of it is lack of emphasis on reducing penalties by the coaching staff. whatever the problem is i just hope they fix it.

It's Romo's FIRST full year and he threw for 4000 YDS+ and 36 TDs, helped deliver a 13-4 season , first seed in the playoffs and a pro bowl appearance!

not just that, he actually played a pretty good game. when your recievers screw up 3 (yes count them, three) potential touchdown passes and the line gets too tired to pick up the blitz in the 4th its kind of hard for ANYONE to win. and if dallas doesnt do something about their penalty problem they arent going very far next year either. a dozen penalties is terrible!

As far as the penalties problem goes, I can't help but feel that is a coaching problem. I like Wade Phillips A LOT but he is either going to have to get really tough on his players when it comes to this ridiculous penalties situation, or we'll be seeing a new head coach in the not so distant future. I don't want that.

they did it under parcells too. i think that part of it is habit (that they have developed the last few years), part of it is reputation (once you are a well known high penalty team the refs may look a lot closer at you), and part of it is lack of emphasis on reducing penalties by the coaching staff. whatever the problem is i just hope they fix it.

being that close to the goal line in the 4th quarter, they didnt use Marion Barber and run the ball. He was on fire all night running the ball. Tony just didnt seem on his game in the last quarter. I know Tony is still fresh but i think he still gets excited when under pressure and when each play REALLY COUNTS, he loses focus. Look at last year when he held the ball on the snap in the Seahawks game. CowboyTD, think of this year as a training year for the cowboys.
