  • Alot of the new characters wore some very colorful outfits even the vehicles did'nt have that military look anymore.

  • G.I. Joe was a lot more fun when all the vehicles/personnel at least made some attempt to look like the military in the real world. Starting with a few things in season 2 of the original G.I. Joe it started to get a little ridiculous. This just takes the cake. Look at me! I'm in a neon green battle whatsits with shock pink stripes. Wheeee!

  • I want cobra to win.

  • This sounds like a Matt Stone and Trey Parker song

  • this was my gijoe no disrespect to the 1985 version but the 89 version was my generation this and transformers gen 2

  • Best theme ever!

  • i remember this show, i got up early every morning to watch this and Godzilla every morning :)

  • "I love the smell of children....I mean napalm in the morning".

  • This is definitely not from 89

  • @DaveNobody it's not, DiC revamped G.I.Joe from 1990-1993

  • lol i remember having half those vehicles

  • cartoons today sucks... bring back everything special. G Force, saber rider, centurions, brave starr, dino riders, MASK, Bionic 6, defenders of the earth, young robinhood, ulysses 31 DAMN 80's were so SPECIAL.

  • @Fredpimpstone lol sorry but i just answered my own question action force was gi joe thats what it was renamed over hear with different theme song and voice overs

  • @Fredpimpstone Also, so you know, it is when DiC bought it instead of its original owners, they severely changed it

  • @xaviorbat lol i noticed when i watched an episode on hear it was different an i sat their an said to my self this is f***ing actoin force cant make my mind who had best voice overs an who was the original owners? before DICheads

  • wooow lot of memories!! XDDD

  • @Composer1777 This wasnt "American Propaganda", it was just a cartoon that got kids to buy toys and gave them a little fun in the morning.

  • "Got to Get TOUGH!!!!!" LOL

  • hey if someone knows where i can download this Opening please tell me i so damm love this piece!!!

  • @KikumaruKaidoh i can tell u how to strip the audio from the video message me if u want

  • Thats when GI JOE went uber comedic.

  • Oh my God !!! I melt ever since the first time I saw that scene were the Desert Scorpions are coming out of the sand !!!

Can you imagine what that can make a 10 years old Peruvian child feel ???

I tried the same in my garden 18 years ago . Well I had just one Desert Scorpion

  • General Hawk era was the best. After that it just went downhill.

  • Actually, Col. Clayton Abernathy(Hawk) was originally the team field leader in the comics, with Stalker as his second in command. Duke was created by Hasbro for the cartoons two years later, and didn't appear in the comics until issue #22. Larry Hama always expressed frustration with the Duke character as he had very little character development, and Hasbro seemed to think that he and Hawk were interchangable. Hawk was the better character, and I don't know why the cartoons didn't just use him.

  • it's more like "dick g.i. joe" the best G.I. Joe cartoons belong 2 the 1980's

  • Well , the best of our generation belong to the 80 s . Madonna , Jackson , Rambo , Rocky, terminator , Maradona , Gi joe , etc etc etc .

  • I always liked to call this the TMNT G.I. Joe. Because the opening theme reminds me of the opening to Ninja Turtles for some reason.

  • This may not be the best G.I. Joe cartoon, but it surely had the best intro music!!

  • You have to admit though - this makes you feel like jumping on a HISS Tank and destroying it with your bare hands and a pocket knife.

  • UGH. I couldn't stand this version, its animation, its colors, or its theme song.

  • it was cooler to me tougher

  • I hear but you have admit at lest it just did not die suddenly, at lest they tried to make last longer. they did not give up on a good series. but your right not the same after they made the movie.

  • Yo Joe

  • I was 10 when ARAH ended. I was 12 when this GI Joe began, and I had no love for it. But I'm sure many 7 years old did, just like me in the beginning. Long live G.I.JOE.

  • im 27 years old i remember the original theme song but this one i liked the best it was more tough.. GOOOOOOOOOOOO JOE!!!!

  • The DiC GI JOE was always the best.
