G.I. Joe was a lot more fun when all the vehicles/personnel at least made some attempt to look like the military in the real world. Starting with a few things in season 2 of the original G.I. Joe it started to get a little ridiculous. This just takes the cake. Look at me! I'm in a neon green battle whatsits with shock pink stripes. Wheeee!
cartoons today sucks... bring back everything special. G Force, saber rider, centurions, brave starr, dino riders, MASK, Bionic 6, defenders of the earth, young robinhood, ulysses 31 DAMN 80's were so SPECIAL.
if this is gi joe an cobra was the bad guy how come a grew up with action force that also had cobra ( who looked the same) as a bad guy. was it a remake or a spin off help plz?
@Fredpimpstone lol sorry but i just answered my own question action force was gi joe thats what it was renamed over hear with different theme song and voice overs
@xaviorbat lol i noticed when i watched an episode on hear it was different an i sat their an said to my self this is f***ing actoin force cant make my mind who had best voice overs an who was the original owners? before DICheads
Actually, Col. Clayton Abernathy(Hawk) was originally the team field leader in the comics, with Stalker as his second in command. Duke was created by Hasbro for the cartoons two years later, and didn't appear in the comics until issue #22. Larry Hama always expressed frustration with the Duke character as he had very little character development, and Hasbro seemed to think that he and Hawk were interchangable. Hawk was the better character, and I don't know why the cartoons didn't just use him.
I hear but you have admit at lest it just did not die suddenly, at lest they tried to make last longer. they did not give up on a good series. but your right not the same after they made the movie.
I was 10 when ARAH ended. I was 12 when this GI Joe began, and I had no love for it. But I'm sure many 7 years old did, just like me in the beginning. Long live G.I.JOE.
Alot of the new characters wore some very colorful outfits even the vehicles did'nt have that military look anymore.

@Composer1777 This wasnt "American Propaganda", it was just a cartoon that got kids to buy toys and gave them a little fun in the morning.

General Hawk era was the best. After that it just went downhill.

I always liked to call this the TMNT G.I. Joe. Because the opening theme reminds me of the opening to Ninja Turtles for some reason.

This may not be the best G.I. Joe cartoon, but it surely had the best intro music!!

You have to admit though - this makes you feel like jumping on a HISS Tank and destroying it with your bare hands and a pocket knife.

UGH. I couldn't stand this version, its animation, its colors, or its theme song.
