Art Journal Play : Quick half page finish.

Your work is insanely creative. I love it. I've recently purchased a leather-bound watercolor journal and I'm itching to fill it with this sort of mixed media journaling. Thank you so much for posting! This have definitely given me some great ideas.

My question, though, is what are the songs you've overlain this video with? I love them!

@crazyhotlegs22 Ive done a heap of courses! but the one I recommend the most is Jane Davenports classes, any of them, I've taken them all and I've learn't so much from them, you will totally enjoy them!

I love your work and your joy of life!! Thank you for sharing that with us. I have a couple of questions. I hope you have the time to answer. What brand of watercolors did you use in this video and what do you put on your pages that enables you to write. I've tried a ton of things and my pens always stop working and then I have to clean them before I can go further. I'd appreciate your help. Once again, thanks for sharing your wonderful play time.

@Wildirish67 my pages are old letters in this one, so the writing is all through it, I use acrylic ink and a paintbrush alot of the time and just write what I want that way, alot of pens have a bit of a tantrum over mixed media, paint pens are really good though.

@lauren1999m hey, the watercolour is just a cheap one from a shop here in aus called big W it was 10 dollars, really cheap, great bright colours, good base to start from.

@tOiNsPiReArT I use alot of things, scrapbook papers, photographs, old letters, my own art from old journals, paint, matte medium, glazes u name it, you can layer just about anything onto a page!

I noticed in your flip through your pages didn't stick together. Mine do, what kind of glue do you use? Do you know how I can keep them from sticking together?

@ThiiNatawii I use a matte varnish 'polymer matt varnish' it helps with the sticky pages!

I use matte medium, for gluing down but i make sure not to over use it, or it will get stick, once I'm done i varnish the page

What kind of book are you painting in? How do you keep your pages from warping?

@ataraxia32 I made my own journal, and I used fabriano paper thats almost like cardstock, for watercolour and drawing, I bought it in a pack of 100 sheets so its got that weight behind it so it doesn't warm, and I've really given that journal some wet layers but no warping at all, so its lays flat which I love!

@TheLittleInk Love your watercolor set BTW (I have a similar set but not near as many colors). Cheap watercolors are the best! Thank you I was so excited to see (at first I didn't realize even) some of the images. I can't explain it, but when you have your Etsy site up you will know too :) And I will be a customer and post vids for you!
