i make a lot bc i always nurse when hes hungry...most pumping moms feed by bottle when hungry and they dont pump at the same time meaning demand the same amount of milk baby is needing..plus he doesnt use a pacy, he uses me so thats even more milk i make and h sleeps all night so i pump twice till empty.
i'm curious about your storage. i'm assuming you don't pump 8oz at a time, but if you do, OMIGOSH! anyway, do you ever mix freshly pumped milk with some that's already been refrigerated/frozen? i always wondered if that was ok to do...if it is, then i could save tons of storage baggies. thanks!!!
That what my freezer looks like. I thought it was ok to mix fresh pumped milk with milk that has been in the refrigerater as long as the freshly pumped milk is first put in the fridge and brought down to the same tempurature.
You can add more milk to already-frozen milk, but cool the added milk in the refrigerator first. There should be less added milk than already-frozen milk.
thats nice! lucy how do you produce so much milk? i have been pumping and now it seems like im not producing at all anymore..do you have any idea why.
How are you able to feed your baby and pump so much milk and store it? I want to start pumping but I don't know how to work that in with her needing fed all the time :)
did you say you get up throughout the night to pump?

i worry about compromising the taste of the milk, by storing it with other foods. i would purchase a new fridge

Well done Lucy!! Yes---it WOULD be interesting to see updates on the baby who will be receiving your milk! Maybe they would want their privacy though?
Looks like you'll have enough milk to feed both Kacen AND the little baby 'til they go to Kindergarten!!! LOL!!

No I NEVER mix. I pump on average 8-12 ounces at a time. And no, from my understanding it's not okay to do that.

That's so amazing that you're not only feeding your son but providing milk to another baby. What an amazing gift =]

It is sweet. I wonder if you could or would be able to keep updates on the little one that will be growing on your milk. That would be interesting.
