Hey hgamer, i just got done with the third section of Siu Lim Tao, it is great! I am getting better and better at wing chun each day. I am on hand conditioning and footwork. You have helped very much. thanks for your help. I will continue to practice for the rest of my life. I LOVE WING CHUN!!! Lol
@dmusovic1 after knowing the basics of stance, punch, and form, we now get into the fun stuff of wing chun.... lineage, yipman, hokamming, augustine fong, me
@hgamer Wooow, you have an awesome lineage if you're not just trying to be funny that is. It's hard to find "real" help on the internet these days, most of the people that claim to teach wing chun are just training MMA or some of their "modified" versions, usually trying to "make" make money from their videos. Anyway, you're videos are awesome, they explain the basics of motion, technique, what's the "point" of every move and such. Thanks.
Thanks for this video. I said it before, and I will say it again, you hit it on the head. Also great commentary on the forms purpose and why people should know it, practice it. Keep up the good work and I will keep enhancing my Wing Chun from your fine points.
Thank you for these videos. I just had a question. What type of weight training would help improve muscle strength and reflexes without getting bulky muscles?
@nusrathussein i'm not opposed to weight training, but from my experience, if you try to do wing chun and weight training at the same time, your progress will be much slower in wing chun. The truth is, whatever size, shape and form your in is good enough to develop your reflexes and sensitivity...
I just wanted to thank you for making these videos. Using your time to help others is commendable. Also the level of detail is very impressive. I have never heard the reason you mentioned for pulling the arm all the way back before doing the bong sau. I actually do that, but I never thought why. Makes good sense.
@steelbridge652 wing chun is about detail, you don't go through this torture to be average, you have to know the in's and out of every thing, and no detail however small, is insignificant in wing chun. There is a rhyme and reason for doing everything.
I agree whole heartedly with the Bruce Lee comment. Speed and athleticism do not automatically make a good martial artist. Everything, even things not martial arts related, cannot work without fundamentals.
@sgtweenus I don't blame bruce, when your that age, and a little skill in wing chun at the time went a long way, i can understand his lack of patience and his narrow vision towards the art. But everything he eventually came to say, he would've eventually discovered in wing chun.
I still dont understand the Dont pop your elbow Im at a loss here, I dont under stand what i am supposed to do when punching.
