  • cant wait until im a junior,2 more years

  • the mulch will be on fire in the next couple days

  • Shield down, Stay Safe

  • damn you guys really like playin with the hoses

  • hey!!! did you put "CAUTION: STUDENT DRIVER" on the rear? lol. be safe guys!!! good luck!!!

  • He was actually a certified driver, or else he'd need one of our Engineers to go with him. He just wanted to freshen up on his pumping, lol...

  • nice job i personily like when we go out and practis lol but nice vid

  • Are you seriously that fucking retarded? Were we in a drought? No. You expect firefighters to not acutally use water until there's an actual fire, and then expect them to know what the fuck they're doing? Stop being so fucking delusional and start accepting reality.

  • How do your drivers learn to pump then? By pretending to pull the levers and everything? That works real well, doesn't it? And like I said, we weren't in a drought, so it's not like we were wasting badly needed water. So shut the fuck up and stop wasting everyone's time by mindlessly commenting on people's videos.

Also, if you had been smart and read the fucking description, you would have seen that the speaker had quit and we were in the process of putting a new one in dumbass.

  • I agree with Rofo, you need to practice with water to learn to pump. That's how we do it here in Colorado.

  • wats with the green light on ur truck

  • The truck was originally from a dept. near Chicago, where they use green. Back when the company was getting mainly used trucks, they liked to keep at least one thing from the previous department. On the old Mack tower, it was the Taz character, on this truck, it's the green light. Now we're getting new trucks, so there really isn't anything to keep, lol...

  • nice apparatus but what the fuck is up with everyone and modern helmets? they are ugly as shit. time for people to see what real firefighters wear. morningpride turn-out gear (black with last name on the bottom) and a traditional styling helmet (cairns new yorker or some other traditional style).

  • Well I'm sorry not everyone wants to look exactly like FDNY.....either way, as stated in the description, at the time of this video, he was a Junior, and they get Metro's. All of us senior FF's get leathers (yes, New Yorkers to be specific).

  • it's not even about looking like the fdny (just so happened to be that they have good taste), it's about heritage and not looking like those european fags. and juniors i can see but there is a lot of departments that wear them.

  • i agree unlike the NY boy's us smaller departments cant afford top of the line items if the state or the city would give us all the money we could spend then maybe we would all have brand spanking new top of the line truck's,gear, ect my department just now got a new truck and the newest we've had for year's was a 1980 ford pierce

  • im a jr i get a leather helmet hahah sucks for ur jr's

  • The company doesn't see the point in spending a few hundred $ for someone who's just learning and can perform limited functions on any scene. Also, some of the juniors join the company to fullfill their community service requirements needed to graduate HS, and after that, a lot of them lose interest. It's a lot of money to spend on something that's not a sure thing...

  • Exactly, Morning Pride & Leather Forever n(both helmet and boots)

  • not to sound like an fdny fanboy or anything like that, but morningpride is the best for structural firefighting and rescue because of the fact it is VERY lightweight yet still doesn't compromise heat protection and debris protection. also, compared to some other gear, it is somewhat cheaper which definitely makes a difference when diesel is expensive as shit. and boots i could care less as long as it protects them. but helmets, i'm strictly traditional leather. no gay plastic shit.

  • When I first strated in the fire service (in New Zealand) we used European apparatus ("appliances"). When I came to the States and began firefighting I remember my awe at Macks. Sure the new apparatus are flashy and 'pretty', but nothing says "fire truck" - to me - like a Mack CF. A little piece of me dies each time one is replaced and taken out of service. It's good to see one.

  • Lol.. "I don't wanna get that car wet!" "it's gonna rain later today anyways."

  • Bah you dont need that siren speaker, you still have your Q. Nice lookin rig by the way, I've always had a thing for Mack CF trucks. But if I remember correctly, you guys replaced this truck right?

  • As far as I know, they haven't yet.

  • Yeah, we just did about a month ago (probably right around when you typed this). It was involved in an accident in a controlled intersection as it was leaving a scene. We got a replacement for it, and we were already in the process of spec-ing out a new rescue, at which time the replacement will replace Engine 2-2.

  • phasing out the old Macks?

  • Unfortunately it would seem that way. They're great trucks and I love them, but the Mack age is slowly leaving. If Mack started to make more trucks, I'm sure companies would start buying them, but they'll never be like the old CF's.

  • Amen.

  • Is that a Mack CF Chassis?

  • Yes
