Thanks for your comments. In fact, this is in line with the direction we have taken: we have integrated technologies such as X-10 (and other domotic protocols) and we also have wii-like controllers (and multi-modal e.g. together with speech). I also share your wish that this technology should be supportive rather than 'in stead of' normal relations.

Doesn't it seem odd & creepy that in the household of the future, people hardly speak or show affection to each other!? Otherwise, I'm all for this kind of customized house! Better to make it controlled like the Wii game controller though.
