What modern islamic scholars are doing these days are changing the explanations for certain vague versus in the quran to match modern day findings and discoveries this is inherently due to the ambiguous language used in these versus, obviously the language used is not scientific. The lecturer left few questions in my mind:
1. If you are calling the 4 types as paths( and not calling them Sect), then why not to call Wahabi a path too.
2. How come Islam became divided into four paths? were these four paths divided by Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu Alaih-e-Wasalam)?
3. As far as I know, all these four Imams came into Hindustan, was there no other Imam in rest of world who could have given another path?

So according to our sunni way Saudi Arabia or any country with a monarchy has not got sharia law implemented because in the interpretations of sunni sharia law a country cant have a Royal Family. He also saw people leaving gifts as they had done in pagan times. When he pointed out how this was shirk, and quoted the Quran, he was ostracized! I think you are confused ... What modern islamic scholars are doing these days are changing the explanations for certain vague versus in the quran to match modern day findings and discoveries this is inherently due to the ambiguous language used in these versus, obviously the language used is not scientific. Well, if anything that just goes to show that religion is changing to match scientific findings. So why do you need religion? If we have reached the level where morality and justice can be logically deduced. Obviously the age of religion has reached its ending. The age of science is at hand, remember that in a global society such as ours not everybody believes in super natural beings, the only way to guide such a society is through common sense and logic, not by force as religions do.

i need you to illustrate 54 reliable sanad to take this matter seriously otherwise its an hearsay alias agreed upon lie "motafaqun alihe". should this premise so crucial why it was kept so secret that it is not mentioned in quran. as a matter of fact it is clearly mentioned in tannakh for jews but it is very interesting to see how you going tp kosher it into islam.

all hadith in the book of sahih muslim are sahih and decide upon by the scholars unanimously. it is not kept secret because their are atleast 10 ahadith which touches this topic. Allah knows best.

In the book 'Hukumul lih'ya fil Islam' quoting from Ibn Hibbaan the following Hadith is reported by Abu Hurairah As ; 'Rasulullah has said: 'Amongst the fitrat (Deen) of Islam is the cutting of the moustache and the lengthening of the beard for surely the Majoos (fire worshippers) lengthen their moustaches and cut their beards so oppose them by cutting your moustaches and lengthening your beards'.

The books I have read describe Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab as a puritanical and extremist religious preacher, who interpreted all of the Qur'an and Hadith literally and ahistorically---meaning the verses of the Qur'an that talk about killing misbelievers apply in all contexts and conditions. Then my sources said Abdul Wahab's own brother who was a scholar, wrote a treatise denouncing him as a fanatic, and that book is now banned in Saudi Arabia

On a sidenote: I don't fully agree with brother Obaid. The 4 madhaahib are schools of FIQH not to FOLLOW. None of the great scholars said to FOLLOW him, all said to follow the prophet+sahabah (salaf)

Simply ask the question my friend from someone who calls himself wahhabi. They probably answer YES because Quran says so. Then ask them if these "eyes and hands and tongue" can be like human eyes and ... They will say "we do not know". Try it ..
