  • poor garrison he has captured the minnesota experience oh so well and he even looks like legendary minnesotan and poop liberal hubie humpfrey

  • Keillor. Genius. Funny. Profound. A commentary on all our lives. Thanks GK.

  • He is so funny! I love it! i LOVE HIS TONE!

  • This man is Pure Genius. A modern day Mark Twain. We are lucky!!

  • I'm a conservative, I don't believe in Keillor's politics. But even I can admit that he's the voice of American life, an American treasure.

  • I was so fortunate to go to the Fitzgerald Theater to see a live show for my birthday on 1-28-2011... What a great show...

  • He's a link to a past long gone.

  • I love Phc and I'm 12

  • woo woo woo!

  • We never miss PHC! Every week - we love it!

  • This is my kinda entertainment. I can't stand most of today's mindless, superficial, mass consumer,lurid,tabloid-style infotainment. Maybe I'm getting old but I like Garrison and his down-home wholesomeness. There is a certain aesthetic quality to these shows. The movie was very good too.

  • Absolutely brilliant, Garrison simply doesn't lose his stuff!

  • Listening to this story I'm glad to be in warm Tucson.

  • WE LOVE YOU GUYS!! PHC ROCKS!!!

  • Blame Canada

  • His voice is like sex... and not the filthy sex... pure, beautiful sex.

  • @THX1449

    pure,beautiful sex, huh?

    WITH WHICH ANIMAL?

    now,go play in traffic.

  • In the first show I ever heard Garrison described his sisters butt as a "vast expanse of denim." Haven't missed a show since!

  • @whamfan87 wow! Tomato Butt, what a classic.

  • love minnesota

  • Does anyone know the News from Lake Wobegon where he talks about the woman who stole from the church and moved to South america, only to move back some 40 years later? I really liked it and cannot find it.

  • i just listened to that on the podcast.... for july 31-2010.....

  • @slidget36 i have that on the podcast, want me to email it to you?

  • @slidget36 also, she embezzled it from the bank, not from the church

  • The toast bit reminds me very much of Proust.

  • Wow. A live national broadcast show every week at 6p.m.for the last 30 years. Keillor presents this News From Lake Wobegon part without using any notes.

Sure makes makes Minnesota and America look pretty good.

  • @ProNorden Yeah and it also seems like a ot of it is ad-libbed too (to an extent), like he'll have a theme and just kind of go where it takes him. Even more impressive than memorizing a script.

  • this is soooooooooooooooooooooooo funny!!!!!!

  • So this is what he looks like! LOL finally I see. Definitely not expecting those shoes though.

  • GK always wears the red shoes with his suits.

  • I've been listening to him since I was little and I've always been amazed that he's been able to do this for some 30 years and not even use a script. Not just that but be entertaining every week on top of that. Amazing...

  • he is from Isle minnesota on mil lacs lake it is really full of geeky people like in Lake Woebegone

  • Even more rare than the retreating glaciers. Treasure this show.

  • Love this show ^^

  • Garrison is a national treasure!

  • What a pleasure it was to have spoken with him on three occasions. I will ALWAYS remember every priceless minute with Garrison.

  • It's so amazing to me that he does this every single week without a script! I love G.K. so much -- he's the voice of my childhood!

  • this one was especially hilarious! i subscribe to the podcast but it's always great to see GK's emotive actions!

  • Like the program, I am even not an American, I wish my country could have good programs like npr and pbs.

  • I always hear this on NPR, I've never seen him perform. Watching, I have to wonder how it is standing on stage with a klig light in you face and performing so richley in front of hundreds of people. I have stage fright...I'd never be able to do that ever.

  • when i was a little girl i was forced to listen to him on the radio by my mother on the way home from my grandparents house.......years later i listen to him by my own free will. his voice intrigues me.

  • He actually used the correct term: Canada Geese!

  • Always entertaining..

  • Wonderful. so wonderful.
