I just dont see why you would want to waste so much money on it personally. People spend so much time working for freedom in computing and this kind of screws all the hard work. Also, very mediocre compared to what's coming from other PC makers in the near future. Or just buy a nice laptop for 499 with 4gb of memory, at least a 2.2ghz dual core processor, wireless and the ability to use the wireless broadband carrier of your choice and put what you want on your own computer....

Regardless of what many people think of Apple in general, I'm exited, as a Flash developer anyway, to be able to use the new and powerful accelerometer class to finally be able create iphone/ipad apps. A huge market is going to potential open for all Flash developers. Kind of cool I guess.

In my advice, don't buy the iPad! I have an 8 GB iPod touch, and it cost $300 less! My iPod touch cost $200, and it does everything basically this iPad can do. The iPad is an oversized iPod touch. I mean if you wanna buy it go ahead, but to save $300, buy the iPod touch! It's smaller, more convenient to carry around, and it's cost is a lot less!

@screencastsonline I've used one before and I'm honestly not impressed. It really is just a giant ipod touch. It functions exactly like one (email, web, music, app/itunes store, pictures, ect.). Everyone's different and everyone likes different things. I just look at the bigger picture is all.
