It's called D2 because originally there was gonna be a direct sequel by the same name for a canceled console called the M2, (Coincidence?) but the console was scrapped and so was the original plot and I'm assuming gameplay. This is essentially the afterbirth of D2's sibling that died in the vampire, Lovercraftian womb of the only game that's very COVER (In America) scares the ever-loving **** out of me!

The concept of a digital actress is very interesting. I read once that Squaresoft was trying to do the same thing with the main character of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, but we all know how that went.

Maybe the concept just isn't workable.
