  • While professional snipers might "do it better", this is paintball we are talking about here. For the variables that affect a paintball vice a more aerodynamic shape of a bullet, that travels at 3-4 times the muzzle velocity, your methods are more than satisfactory. Great video, love the methodology, excellent all around!!!

  • a way to sight scopes and red dots easier is to find or make a sturdy stand to place your marker on and get it set towards a tree or something large. then shoot off ten to fifteen rounds. without moving the marker, adjust the sight so the dot or cross hair hatches up with the center of the spread. take several more shots free hand to ensure it is sighted in correctlly

  • hey mike, won't it be just about fine if you get close to the card, not dead center, because paintball hits count anywhere on the body?

  • @kattarnabot but then if they are running you may go to hit them in the arm and it will miss

  • i lived in a neighbor hood like that. lots of empty lots...

  • i wish i have a taget range i have a basement

  • i have a army grade scope that i used to have on my 1914 lee enfield is that a good scope for woodsball?????

  • @tdavis995 it might be over powered a bit, considering a real gun and a paint ball marker have day and night ranges and the scope probably has a minimum range of what your marker can even shoot, this is just a thought

I am by no means a professional

  • Two birds with one stone, or two bottles with one paintball?

Thanks for the help and advice that helped me calibrate my scope. :)

  • damn!!

  • I have a tipp 98, gettin the t9 ranger for christmas. Caint wait, looks awesome!

  • lol 9:00 collateral damage

  • that has to be really hard given the inconsistency of paintballs

  • @cherriezs the finned balls help, but a good tourney marker with a good barrel will pull off a similar grouping with an infinitely higher volume of fire.

fun as a sniper rifle in paintball if you don't wan't to play airsoft however - since airsoft sniper rifles can be exceedingly accurate and have far greater range.

  • @DrPracticleHat what airsoft gun do you shoot that has a 500 foot range? lmao. and first strike rounds are more accurate past at 150 feet than they are at 100 or closer. there is no tourney gun that will shoot less than a 12 inch grouping at 150 feet

  • @Robot0Ninja tfs balls are almost double the normal fps limit, airsoft gas guns can shoot into the low 900s when modded even lightly, 'getting hits' @500ft is not an issue.

as for that 12" grouping, shoot the tfs balls at 300 or regular paint at 530 and we'll have a fair test, but the bottom line comes down to consistency in the ball, the barrel, and the gas, tfs balls should be immaculate for the price they ask, but even the T9 is not going to have the gas consistency of a 1200$ marker

  • @DrPracticleHat no course would ever let you shoot 900 fps, and even if you can, the bb is too small and too light to even make it there, let alone be accurate if it does. and if you mean first strike by tfs, then no, they are not double the fps limit. they still shoot under 300 fps like every other paintball gun. regular paint cant make it to 530 feet. and once again, no tournament marker is accurate passed 150 feet at 300 fps, unlike first strikes which get more accurate @ 150+

  • @Robot0Ninja just noticed i miss read pbtech's message discussing range as fps instead of just feet, so sure, i'll believe tfs can maintain their speed better and keep a flatter trajectory as a result, however i still have a big issue them charging as much as they do for those balls, so i will continue to protest their existence.

  • @DrPracticleHat you make them cheaper, until then i will use them and out range everyone on the field, and with 10 times better accuracy. sure, i get less shots, but thats why i carry a tm7 too.

  • @Robot0Ninja until i see them on the tourney fields i won't be able to really take them seriously, never been a big fan of woodsball. It also sounds like you need to carry a lot to make the t9 a viable option, which i'm also not a fan of.

  • @DrPracticleHat they werent made for speedball, so that doesnt even make sense. and not really, i can carry 4 mags, a hopper full of first strike and a tank on my back and im good for the day, i dont even need another gun. its all about personal preference.

  • @Robot0Ninja i know they weren't made for speedball, but i don't take woodsball seriously, so i can't take things made specifically for woodsball seriously, unless they find a use on the air fields, which many things have, but i can't see this making it.

  • @Robot0Ninja and yes no site would normally let you use a 900fps gas gun, but as a marshal, you can do what you want. also that's 900 with a 0.2, load .5's and the speed drops to a more reasonable 450-500, the .5's also making it substantially more resistant to wind and tend to keep their back spin for longer.

  • But shouldn't the fact that the paintballs are not perfect spheres and that they do not follow the same path be taken into consideration?

  • Can you look through the scope perfectly with a regular mask on with the stock on?

  • @CarbonImpactz I ran into that issue with my red dot. I went out and bought a sight rail that moves it off to the side. You do sacrifice accuracy the farther away from the gun the sight gets so it may not even have been worth it but we'll see. I've yet to try it out.

  • @CarbonImpactz you can, and if the stock scope rings are not the right hight for you, you can buy higher or lower rise scope rings to are more comfortable for you.

i don't know what the eye relief is like but i imagine it is big enough to not have your gogs touch the scope.

  • you should have done this with your mask as the way u look thru the scope will be a tad different

  • I've never used optics on paintball guns, but on airguns when you move back and adjust you are adjusting for that distance. I would say 100ft in a scenario would be typical, so that is what I would sight it in to.

  • lol i know there is a guy who will have like a 1000 dollar scope on a t4 at ll3

  • is the gun accurate

  • to properly sight it you should shoot a group aiming at one point than re adjust the scope to the grouping

  • if you have the adapter for the first strike rounds is that the only kind of rounds you can use?

  • its called a t8.1 there selling right now for like 210 on ansgear

  • LOL your target range fell over.

  • Comment removed

  • Google

  • 8:48

10 pin took out the 7 pin

VERY hard shot to pull off

  • @paintballtechpb

    lol yea nice 7-10 split!

  • thats a sick tibby =)

  • Ok. This works, but what do you do when you add a barrel extension? Like with the T9 when you add the fore grip extension that comes with the T9 Elite? How do adjust it then? Is there even a change or no?

  • @warman0712 why would it work any different?

  • i dont even see why you need a scope on paintball gun its not like your gonna do 1" groups @100+ yards. yeah i saw that you said you had hits at 500 feet but even with woodsball a shot like that is unlikely and ive dodged many paintballs seeing them in the slow arch towards me. in my opinion scopes go on rifles that shoot a chunk of lead at 3000 fps.

  • First Strike Paintball rounds travel in a straighter linear pattern and hold there fps longer than normal paintballs (a lot longer)

  • i know that but they still dont have a straight enough flight or go nearly fast enough for a scope to do anything. i dont even think you need iron sites unless your the person that likes to spend thousands of dollars on cheesey upgrades

  • The scope probably has a small zoom, if any. 1.5x would be an advantage, while anything higher might be a disadvantage.

BTW, Bore sights can be a quicker way to sight a red dot.

  • If you can find bore sights up to 68-69 caliber it would be quicker and easier

  • @baconator490 no cuz paintball has insane drop xD a bore sight is a lazer so ull be shooting low :D

  • @ineverfailz you use the bore sighter to get the scope on target and then raise up the scope to accomodate for drop then your good

  • Dodged? when some one is shooting you from that far away its not really dodging just maneuver slightly to the left or right.

  • it depends on how far away they are. you gotta move kinda quick if the person is say 50 yards away but if they are any farther than that its a slight lean

  • The rounds aren't slow. They hold their FPS until about 450 feet before slowing down even slightly.

  • so your saying they dont slow down until 150 yards? Thats total bullshit, 12 gauge slugs start to slow at around 100 yards and they fly at 1200fps out the muzzle

  • @amishterminator

they actually start slowing down the instant the wind resistance is greater than the force of the gun powder propellant. About 3 inches from the end of the barrel Mr. Wizard

  • @paintballtechpb haha youre funny paintballtechpb! but right.

  • @paintballtechpb lol owned, him not you...

  • @amishterminator

all projectiles from all weapons(guns, markers, bow and arrow, whatever) that are not self propelled begin to slow the moment they leave the muzzle

  • what kind of scope was that? it looked like a leapers bug buster.

  • ur videos are amazing and very helpful

  • I live in Michigan.. it kills me that the pb season ends around this time of year. no fields are really open and no one wants to play when it gets cold.

    Question-

I'm assuming that a scope would only be useful with first strike rounds?

  • I want one.

  • @paintballtechpb i used the first strike rounds with an alpha black and they did shot any farther than a paintball. why is this?

  • Maybe it was hard to watch how far the ball went, since you were looking through the mask.

  • i was just test firing them with out a mask and filming it

  • It can be hard to tell the range difference while focusing on the filming and looking through a mask. They DO go farther due to their design.

  • @bengrvr2

When we tested the max range of paintballs @ 300fps, normal guns shot around 300 feet, apex/flatline shot about 330 feet, and Tiberius First Strike Rounds went over 530 feet

We have confirmed body hits at 500 feet with First Strike Rounds

  • Holy shit, 500 feet... that would be really effective, Would tiberius rounds work in a milsig Mag?? or would you have to change a few things in it to feed the first strike?

  • no... the first strike round looks much like a bullet...

thus the circular breach hole both in the gun and in the magazine would have to be cut to look like half a circle and half a square...

a modification that would be verrryyyy hard.

  • @bengrvr2 its because it has a spin like a real bullet i suppose the wings make it or the back part is the reason why

  • FLIP FOPS! :D

  • mike, was this in the middle of the road?

  • @sirajsam

This was in a development right next to my house that went bankrupt, I could put a sleeping bag on this road and take a 2 week nap, and still not worry about being hit by a car. There is NOTHING in that area for almost a mile in each direction

  • thats awesome. but sad at the same time..

so what do you think of the T9 I am thinking about buying one sometime soon, ive heard all most all good things but I just want to check

  • @sirajsam

yea the first strike rounds are insane

Just make sure your fields and scenario games allow them, it would suck to make the investment without being able to use it.

  • @paintballtechpb y would fields not allow them?

  • awesome thanks:)

  • Wow really maybe u should ride my bike(Honda an yamaha R1) Down there...I mena I'm in Illinios and it is nearly winter....U guys have all year summer Right?

  • @sumblocka

    all damn year round LOL

can you bring down some snow?

  • @Paintballtechpb

    Wow,I would if i could

But then again after living here all ym life, it kinda gets annoying.

I more of the guys who spend there whole summer riding bikes on the highway or swimming. I just plain hate the rainy snowing sunless season of Illinios

  • those paintballs are quite powerful to knock that glass off do the regular paintballs have the same effect

  • mike where r ur goggles... safety first man :)

  • @allancopier he sold em on ebay (the v-force grillz olive) i wanted to get em but they were used

  • How much is thT gun setup

  • a lot

  • I enjoyed reading the second paragraph of your information. Funny thing is, some dumbass kid would actually come in here specifically to say something like that. No purpose other than to be stupid. Damn do I hate people.

  • a basic box + shoe = awesome

  • haha its just a basic box, and um its got a shoe in it that i found on the ground lol

  • mike can shoot 2 bottles with one Tiberius T9 bullet. :)

  • @rollinfever15

10 pin took out the 7 pin LOL

    (bowling talk)

  • got that right lol

  • He will once he has, as he says "beaten the s**it" out of it

  • The FPS looked really low at 5:03

  • i think he is running this on 12ies. so the 12ie was probabaly low

  • holy shit are those things accurate

  • mike nice vids keep it up u should go to elite in spring hill and play some games when u get a chance.

  • good shootin tex

  • sigthing in scopes is a pain in the ass, but once you get it perfect, its amazing. i got my blackcell sighted perfectly and it is rediculous how accurate it is

  • nice vids! keep em up. by the way i like the booth coverages because it shows u what goes on at the events!

  • mike i still love your show but i just liked it more before sorry i didnt mean to get you mad or anything ....

  • mike at the end of every video u say email me if you have any questions, but i cant find ur email ANYWHERE what is it...it should be on the site.

  • i still like it but i agree with (Thejerseychipmunk)

  • @paintmx1112

When you don't have any money to pay for paint, it's kinda hard to review guns. Before we got the deal with PMI Paintball, we bought every case we used out of our own pockets.

We don't get paid SHIT to do the TechPB videos you get to watch for free. I'd make more money valet'ing cars on a WEEKEND, than I do off an entire month of working 60+ hours a week for TechPB making videos.

We are not some GRAND PRODUCTION, our budget for videos is about $100 per week, that includes paint

  • Thanks mike,

That $100 investment is well worth it to your viewers.

  • techpb went wayyy to commercial for me, i miss the days when it was right in his dining room reviewing then lastest in paintball now its all interviews with companys basically like a viral ad site

  • You need fuel (money) to run this machine which we call TechPb.

  • @TheJerseyChimpmunk

How is this a viral ad?

It's a show on how to sight in a paintball scope........ which we got paid absolutely NOTHING to do

We didn't make any money on this video, as a matter of fact, we LOST money because we had to drive to the field to air up our tanks, pay for the remote line from Ninja, and buy the first strike rounds

And what's wrong with booth interviews and event coverage? That's a CORE part of TechPB, people ask us "Who was at the event?" Well.. now you know

  • i think i messed my words up i just feel that u went too... idk like "commercial" i subscribed because of ur reviews and lately ive seen none of it. theres nothing wrong with booth interviews but they get played out fast. i like seeing u get the latest items in paintball, reviewing and like u say " beating the shit out of it" im still i fan of u and ur vids its just an opinion

  • @TheJerseyChimpmunk

well we reviewed practically everything on the market before the summer was over. Nothing was released until World Cup, we can't review shit that's not on the market. So that leaves us with game footage videos and/or booth interviews.

Also, we completely ran out of money saving up for the booth at World Cup and playing the PSP. No money for paint = no gun reviews.

You would shit your pants if you realized how LITTLE money TechPB actually brings in each month, honestly

  • lol at "oh no, there goes my whole target range!" you didnt even need to shoot again to knock down the second bottle!

  • lol two kills with one shot. Mike is THAT good with FS rounds ;)

  • oomg...look at the nice grass and huge space...this would make a nice paintball field too..

  • You should do more with the t9

  • HOLY CRAP IS THAT THE VERANDAS!?!

  • advice if your shots are high close up don't waste ammo adjusting them before you move out further out

Also Mike I would advise in using a rest of some kind which remove's shooter error from the sighting in process

  • Hey mike...when you play woodsball what do you use...i use 3x frags, bandolier, double tap and iron lungs..what are your favorite perks?

  • @MiamiOnslaught

fyi: wow its call of duty mike.

  • u can just reply to me lol

  • Excuse me you can only have one blue ammo perk; not two.

  • i hack my gun....o.O

  • hah.

  • can you even see through the scope with a mask on?

  • i can see through the scope on my Real steel .223 coyote rifle it's the eye relief of the scope and height of the aperture that count

  • are you using a scpe or a red dot sigfht that looks like a scope

  • I would say a good way to sight in a marker is to sight the scope/sight using regular paintballs first. Once you're zeroed in with pbs start using first strike rounds and then you can start moving further back and get it zeroed for FS rounds. It'll help you save money on FS rounds.

  • how come he's using such a short barrel? i can see that its working but i figured hed at least have a 14"

  • @Paintplayer42

barrel length has zero effect on accuracy

Don't believe me, pull the tip off your 2 piece barrel and go play

  • A tripod for the camera would help alot on those long range shots. I would make it easier focus.

    Good work Mike and Willie.

  • you killed the bottle nooooooooooooooooooooooo! you monster!

  • Just thought i should point out that you should sight with your mask on as this will affect the sight relief and therefore the zeroing of the scope.

  • that paint is ridiculously expensive

  • I bought 100 of them and I'll randomly load one into my barrel in the middle of a game, and everyone on the field will be looking at me like why is he aiming straight all of the sudden, then I fire and the look on their faces is like WTF.

  • 2 bottle one shot lol

  • shooting high at close range is good for when your long balling

  • first strike rounds are almost a dollar per shot. i would use a scope if i shot evil paint because evil paint is so accurate.

  • 37th

  • ohh no there goes my whole target range hahahahahahaha

  • thats about the only part i watched i have the attention span of a paper bag

  • what upgrades are u using on that gun? what T9 is that?

  • Those first strike balls are deffinetly the only paintballs on the market, to even come close to be able to use any kind of scope for. If your not using first strikes, Scopes are good for people with bad eye sight who cant pick out a target in the bush or something like that. or if you can get a semi accurate setting for a scope with regular paint then it could help as well.

  • that was like $50 of paint or whatever. Good deal X_x

  • RPS sponsers techpb on there videos. And that was not 50$ of paint :p Not even close

  • For customers it is... I mean, where, I am you pay like 11 CDN for 10 of these

  • @omgprestigex - RPS does not make First Strike Rounds, so their sponsorship does not help with this. It does help but not when we are shooting First Strike rounds. It is about .75 a shot for us with these rounds. I think we did 4 clips each marker at 8 rounds a clip. So no it was not $50.00, but it was not cheap in the same sense.

  • It sounds like there is a lot of wind going on. not good to sight in on windy days

  • flip flop

  • 1 round 2 hits. LOL. Your god like.

  • as a sniper myslef you show me an great way to show my little nephews how to sight in there dasiy bb gun lol

  • 305

  • where did you get the t9 conversion kit?

  • 302

  • what about the T4 rifle? could you do a vid on that?

  • can't afford it right now, those are like $900, ouch

  • what caused t-arms do to the t4 that makes it so much more expensive

also any chance you could do a t9 w/ fs round review thatd be beastly

  • scopes are useless for in game anyway, with any regulation mask on you cannot see down one correctly anyway

  • um with my events it works fine... dunno what ur talking about.

  • you need a riser, and with the Proto Pro Axis you can see perfectly, no obstruction with the T9

  • nice vid mmike keep it up

  • lol cool vid mike gunna pick up some first strike rounds and muzzle fire em cool vid

  • i am getting a tiberius arms gun. nice video on how to sight in the scope it will help me

  • that was my shoe :-(

  • 144

  • chrome!!!!

  • I'd tell you what post # mine is but i can't count that high.

  • All of the guys Below me are FAGS!!
