I know I have I am a fourth Generation firefighter and I lost my father and my grandfather to this cause and if it be my turn then I pray that those who I have saved not squander what we do to save lives but live and remember that to live some must pay the ultimate sacrifice.

This is coming from a 240FF on a volunteer department, great video and u can learn a lot from just watching some firemen/women work. no matter what you think or say in the fire service, there always is a brotherhood and each firefighter is there for each other in times of need. if u ever need anything dont hesitate to ask me or another firefighter haha, thanks - Dwayne - PVFD

Awesome vid. The only thing I have to say is that 5th Edition calls for your shields to remain up for if you keep them down heat gets built up and trapped between the mask and the shield.

Firefighters are real heroes, as it has been said, when everyone else is running out of danger they run into it with out complaint, nor seeking praise, and they do all of this to save lives, and protect property.

I have a great respect for firefighters, they are true heroes.

@buckeyechad1974 with some companies, you dont have to go on ladders, like if you run for an engine company, or even EMS is an oppertunity to be active in the emergency comunity. If you can, start with Vollunteer, and work your way up. Your fears will soon fall. If you need any help/advice, just hit me, or any other FireFighter, up for some. :)

@steelersgirl07 - Thank You very much for the advice, and for taking the time to supply me with the info - my uncle was a firefighter and lost his life going in after a baby in a home where I grew up. He was such a good man and will always be a hero in my mind. The baby, by the way, did live - as my uncle did manage to lay over top of her to keep her from getting hurt. Life used to be a mystery before I found God...I still don't have complete understanding of things, but we wern't meant to. TY
