These commercials are pretty funny. Mastercraft vs. everybody else seems to hol some water but this is ridiculous. I have an 02 x-30 and a 92 prostar 190 and about to get a 2011 prostar 197 so by far mastercraft has made the greatest tournament boats since the 1950s so all in all all other ski/wakeboard boats suck dick

NAUTIQUE still makes some pretty awesome boats these days...back in the 80's nautique was #1 now mastercraft is better because they make wakeboard boats.... nautique makes ski boats that can be made into wakeboard boats
nautique is SO much better. anyone skiied behind the new 200? it is THE best boat EVER without a doubt. and thats saying something cause i have a malibu. nautiques have the softest and most passible wakes.

I wakeboard behind a Master Craft X9 about 4 times a week and it is amazing this model (the X9) has been renamed to the X7 and i don't know why. but any way it puts out a huge wake that has a ton of pop to it and can through you very high in the air. besides water sports it is also a great family boat to just take out on the lake and have a ton of fun! i will admit that Nautique does also make a very nice boat but they are a little on the small side.
Disaster Crafts are the biggest pice's ever. Maybe if they quit trying to be so trendy and focus on making boats something good will come of it. Nautique's are perfection and always will be because they make boats not trends. Just my thoughts...

Actually if you read reviews, they now found out that Danny Harf landed his 1260 behind Chad Sharpe's Malibu VLX. Danny Harf is sitting in the Nautique while talking so we all assume he landed it behind a Nautique but you can see part of the Malibu in the video so Malibu asked Danny and Chad and they confirmed it was behind a Malibu VLX :] Malibus are much better than Nautiques, I have a VLX and couldn't love it any more than I already do.
I have a 2003 :] We were also looking at a 2005 VLX but the particular 2003 we bought had some upgraded air intake filters, a bigger sound system, and we talked the guy down in price quite a bit. I love my boat a hell of a lot too. I throw ppl out of the boat if they come in with sand on their feet and wipe it down everytime i take it out of the lift and vacuum the entire thing from time-to-time. When you love an expensive boat like this you gotta take good care of it. Agreed?

ive ridden behind a nautique, and fell in love, my friends neighbors however had a 80,000 dollar mastercraft that spent a quarter of the summer being BROKEN, but thats not all of them, I would die for an xstar or a super air nautique
well both boats are good but i prefer nautique. but a 40th anniversary x star has a HUGE wake! this one is kinda dumb because on the rest of the mastercraft vs. (malibu, tige) they have a good point but on this one they have nothing to say about nautique because its a good boat and theyve been around longer then anyone else
honestly, lets just end this whole video by saying its a pretty dumb joke, because nautique has been in the boating industry longer than any of the other major wakeboard boat companies, and that gives them more experience and reliability. Mastercraft may have some sick lookin boats and wraps and all that, but with a loaded down 230 at OWC on a saturday of the Performance Gravel Tour... from personal experience, no wake is better than that!!
meh mastercraft has alot of small stuff that just put alot more quality and quantity in for your money, plus you dont have to lower anything into the watter like on malibu's to make the wake huge. there all around just a little bit better and more worthwhile. there all nice boats though, i just feel mastercraft is the top.
hell ya ive got a 24ve and the wakes so sick. we actually ended up puttin a 2500lb ballast system for a bigger surf wake and so i can go even bigger then beffore on my tricks
I love Nautiques. Everything is simple and feels solid without exaggeration, it has balance between everything. Mastercraft doesn't have that feel, its more like an alien ship.
i agree mastercrafts have the shittiest wakes. i rod ebehind a natique at camp and fell in love with the wake its got the perfect lip and perfect height its an all around great boat
Its not a matter of how much weight you have in deciding which is the nicest boat. Any boat can have a nice wake with decent ballast. I've ridden behind X2's, Wakesetter's, Mobius's, Nautique's, and everything in betweeen. They're all quality boats, and all do about the same thing.
Just spent a week in a MasterCraft at a boarding school and spent enough time to get a good feel for the boat Drove it rode in it and boarded behind it. Went home and demo'd the Nautique 230 and bought it. Nautique builds a better boat hand down, no comparison.
Whether it be skiing or wakeboarding, MasterCraft is still the best boat on the water PERIOD! Don't get me wrong, Nautique is a nice boat especially if you want the boring color graphics, a retarded looking tower, and a triangle windshield. Also if you want a boat that decides to back up to the left, unlike all other normal tournament boats that back up to the right.
mastercraft is trash now don't get me wrong 5 or 6 years ago they were the best but now there more trying to be part of the industry of family boats rather then hard core wakeboard boats, a exact example the new 300 thats not a wakeboard boat. also the x-star does'nt even work unless u put sand bags in it nautique would never do something like that they make there boats so u don't need to add sandbags. don't get me wrong mastercraft is nice just there are better now. one of them being nautique.
oh please I put an extra 500 in my 09 x-star and its a good wake. Very clean and gives you time to really think about throwing any trick. Mastercraft is no different then 5 years ago, and having the new 300 shows they can not only dominate the ski industry but also the leisure boat industry as well.

i personally own a nautique 210, and i've come from learning how to wakeboard behind an old Key West flats boat. to me, my 210 wake is amazing. i haven't riden behind any mastercraft YET, but to me, it looks like it would be pretty sick. i cant really go with mastercraft on this one simply because ive never riden behind one, but i cant wait to take a set behind a loaded down x-star.
natuiques arent out of style just look at the great lakes every one uses'em up there and they do sell pritty nice new ones that have all the same shit as mastercraft
I know a few guys that are sponsored by mastercraft that still preffer natiques, and this video just goes to show that there boats don't speak for them selves they need a retard to try and sell you on it.
i own a nautique 210 and can honestly say that in terms of quality, class, and wake, that the nautique is a better boat. and im not just saying that because i own one, a matter of fact i live in knoxville tn and actually wakeboard with the ceo of mastercrafts son. but every year he gets a new boat i still can find flaws in the design such as the space age dashboard that will be out of style in 5 years, or that the x series lack tracking fins on the bottom of the boat. not worth 85 k to me

Now i personally like the 230 wake best out of the box all the whole market... If where where to weight them all down... I believe there is a better boat... Called the Mastercraft X-Star it has won boat of the year since 2004... CC has shit on that!

The first Master Craft was a copy of the Ski Nautique. They took the CC and cut it in half and added 6 inches the beam and poof the first Master Craft was born, and it sucked. CC made Zero Off and MC took it. Way to go, lets takes other peoples stuff make it more expensive and sell it.
we have an 07 or 08 ski nautique.....best ski boat ever.... its so nice, nautiques are A LOT nicer than master craft ive skiid behind both... ski nautiques wake is miniscule compared to master crafts....110% better for skiing. nautiques are also more expensive and nicer than master crafts.....as far as slalom skiing goes, nautique wins every time.....now for wakeboarding master crafts wake is bigger, therefore better, but if ur a slalom skiier, trust me ski nautiques the way to go
iv tried to compare prices from mastercraft and nautiques...how much more expensive do you think the nautiques are compared to mastercrafts? I cant really find any prices online and i dont want to contact a dealer yet becuase my family is still browsing boats. Im looking at the CC crossover's and the MC X series boats...any idea on price differences? thanks
There's a 'boat' for all types of users, albeit those who enjoy JUST wakeboarding, or JUST skiing or JUST tubbing...or all three. Personally, I grew up around MC's, but over the years, I've seen a more and more CC's and I just saw that the CC was ranked #1 by JD Powers...so, that has to say something about how godd they are. Personally, not really being into just wake-boarding, or skiing, I'd go with either one, as I'm sure there's pro's/con's about both!
I had the mastercraft x star and the super air nautique 230, the nautique had way fatter wake and didnt break down as much but the x star was a smoother ride, nautique is the way to go

Friends of mine have a 1975 Master Craft. It has 220 horsepower 302 Ford engine. Fun to slalom behind compared to a newer boat. You can take it out the ball with you. It little or no wake at 36 miles per hour. Timing into the entrance gate is a little different because the boat is so much smaller than the newer ones. The boat is in excellent condition.
The only two boats worth looking at are Master Craft's and Nautiques. Malibu, Supra, Moomba, and the rest are junk. You can't go wrong with a Master Craft, but the Nautique is a more solid built boat. I like the dashboard on the Nautique better, more user friendly. Slalom wakes on the two are about the same. I don't like the open bow or towers on a ski boat. The Nautique is still the superior boat, but Master Craft is gaining on them. I have found PCM to be more reliable than Indmar.
I am into slalom, tricks, kneeboarding and barefooting. I like the Master Craft Pro Star 190 over the 197. I prefer a closed bow. I have a 1994 Ski Nautique now equipped with Perfect Pass Stargazer. The shape of the hull is identical to the Super Air Nautique. We put in a skylon, and fat sac when we pull kneeboarders and wakeboarders. It works pretty well, but for serious wakeboarding you would want to go with a wakeboard boat.
Typical MC sales/advertising. point out perceived faults in your competitors instead of letting your product stand on its own. Such a shame, because MC does indeed make some of the best boats. However, its bullshit like this that made me decide to walk out on an X-45 sale.
Im a Nautique fan but i aint a hater. I've riden behind the x-star, the lsv and i own a 211. These are all awesome boats. I just dont see why Master Craft is so cocky. Nautique has been around for 83 years not 30. They do have amazing style unlike them Master Craft hardcore shit. Have you ever asked yourself why when you are in a nautique, the floor is lumpy? It's because they spray foam over thier stringers, cut it with a hand saw, then spray copper gun fiberglass over it and throw carpet on it. Nice floor system nautique's have. Where do I get one!!!

Do you really want me to go into more detail? Windshields on nautique are not thru-bolted, neither are thier tracking fins. They use screws with no backing plates. The strut on an MC is held with 8 bolts through steel backing plates, nautique only have 6..or is it 4? Nautique gelcoat lines are all taped because they do sloppy work, and they are just ugly, ugly, ugly. They should change their name to Ski Antique. Oh yea, antique engines are mounted with lag screws instead of threaded like MC
ahaha lol mate i havent been in a mastercraft to date the has a smooth gearbox they are all very rough and sharp changes in and out of snycro.Gelcoat lol did you read what i mentioned before ? i am a fully qualified coating inspector that is my job and the quality of the resin in mastercraft gelcoats doesnt leave much to the imaginination infact it is very disapointing that they sell people boats that wouldnt last over 12 months in the water with out having delaminations and coatings failures.
If your a coatings inspector you know that there are exactly 3 companies that make gelcoat. Currently malibu, nautique, and MC are all buying from the same vendor. You can spin this anyway you want, when the vendor puts out inferior product all three companies are effected at the same time. There have been a few boats from all three companies that have blistered in the last few years, none of them are immune from this. Care to comment on my other construction shortcomings from nautique?
Like the new gay wraps. Come on hit a dock a little and the wrap is done. Not everyone can pull up to a dock properly. Like the 3000 dollar tower accessories. It is a sham. I love the boats but really do you need negativity to sell your product? Still it all breaks down to the same thing to each is their own. I love my VLX and my buddy loves his B-52. Nautiques are for family and the pretentious, Malibu's are for the folks that want a MasterCraft. MasterCrafts are for riders... You never know what the driver of the other inboards is out for, but a MasterCraft owner, rides.
MasterCraft is and has been pushing design and technology beyond any other inboard company. CC makes a good boat no question. At one time they were the best.
Not anymore MasterCraft beats them all around hands down.

I like it bayouxpat, I have had 2 Mastercrafts. a 2001 X-star and a 2003 X-star.
good boats... better than Malibu by far!
but last year I bought the 2010 Air Nautique 230... BEST boat any company
has ever made (for wakeboarding) hands down!
long story short... I'm never going back to mastercraft

ive ridden behind a nautique, and fell in love, my friends neighbors however had a 80,000 dollar mastercraft that spent a quarter of the summer being BROKEN, but thats not all of them, I would die for an xstar or a super air nautique

well both boats are good but i prefer nautique. but a 40th anniversary x star has a HUGE wake! this one is kinda dumb because on the rest of the mastercraft vs. (malibu, tige) they have a good point but on this one they have nothing to say about nautique because its a good boat and theyve been around longer then anyone else

honestly, lets just end this whole video by saying its a pretty dumb joke, because nautique has been in the boating industry longer than any of the other major wakeboard boat companies, and that gives them more experience and reliability. Mastercraft may have some sick lookin boats and wraps and all that, but with a loaded down 230 at OWC on a saturday of the Performance Gravel Tour... from personal experience, no wake is better than that!!

meh mastercraft has alot of small stuff that just put alot more quality and quantity in for your money, plus you dont have to lower anything into the watter like on malibu's to make the wake huge. there all around just a little bit better and more worthwhile. there all nice boats though, i just feel mastercraft is the top.

I love Nautiques. Everything is simple and feels solid without exaggeration, it has balance between everything. Mastercraft doesn't have that feel, its more like an alien ship.

Its not a matter of how much weight you have in deciding which is the nicest boat. Any boat can have a nice wake with decent ballast. I've ridden behind X2's, Wakesetter's, Mobius's, Nautique's, and everything in betweeen. They're all quality boats, and all do about the same thing.

Just spent a week in a MasterCraft at a boarding school and spent enough time to get a good feel for the boat Drove it rode in it and boarded behind it. Went home and demo'd the Nautique 230 and bought it. Nautique builds a better boat hand down, no comparison.

Whether it be skiing or wakeboarding, MasterCraft is still the best boat on the water PERIOD! Don't get me wrong, Nautique is a nice boat especially if you want the boring color graphics, a retarded looking tower, and a triangle windshield. Also if you want a boat that decides to back up to the left, unlike all other normal tournament boats that back up to the right.

mastercraft is trash now don't get me wrong 5 or 6 years ago they were the best but now there more trying to be part of the industry of family boats rather then hard core wakeboard boats, a exact example the new 300 thats not a wakeboard boat. also the x-star does'nt even work unless u put sand bags in it nautique would never do something like that they make there boats so u don't need to add sandbags. don't get me wrong mastercraft is nice just there are better now. one of them being nautique.

oh please I put an extra 500 in my 09 x-star and its a good wake. Very clean and gives you time to really think about throwing any trick. Mastercraft is no different then 5 years ago, and having the new 300 shows they can not only dominate the ski industry but also the leisure boat industry as well.

god, watching this video again just makes me sick. cause nautiques arent even "old fashioned" or whatever u want to call it. look at the brand new graphics they came up within the last 2 years, and how about ther new tower... and also, the only mastercraft i've seen on the entire Lake Conway chain is Gary Maloon's, and thats cause he owns the Mastercraft of Orlando dealership. drive around thru the Lake Conway chain, the only ski or wakeboard boat u'll see are Nautiques. ha more like mastercrap

i personally own a nautique 210, and i've come from learning how to wakeboard behind an old Key West flats boat. to me, my 210 wake is amazing. i haven't riden behind any mastercraft YET, but to me, it looks like it would be pretty sick. i cant really go with mastercraft on this one simply because ive never riden behind one, but i cant wait to take a set behind a loaded down x-star.

I have an 09 x star, I bought it for 72,000 and a friend of mine got his 210 for 67,000.
overall, for riding they both do the same thing , mine has a 60 gallon tank which lasts a bit longer than his 40.
all the girls always want to come on my boat tho. i guess the shape and graphics are more atractive.
if I had to compare its like a regular suburban and an escalade with the big engine.
who cares, its about riding ,not the boat. get whatever you get a better deal on. I love my x star!

i own a nautique 210 and can honestly say that in terms of quality, class, and wake, that the nautique is a better boat. and im not just saying that because i own one, a matter of fact i live in knoxville tn and actually wakeboard with the ceo of mastercrafts son. but every year he gets a new boat i still can find flaws in the design such as the space age dashboard that will be out of style in 5 years, or that the x series lack tracking fins on the bottom of the boat. not worth 85 k to me

Now i personally like the 230 wake best out of the box all the whole market... If where where to weight them all down... I believe there is a better boat... Did you know.
The first Master Craft was a copy of the Ski Nautique. They took the CC and cut it in half and added 6 inches the beam and poof the first Master Craft was born, and it sucked. CC made Zero Off and MC took it. Way to go, lets takes other peoples stuff make it more expensive and sell it.

we have an 07 or 08 ski nautique.....best ski boat ever.... its so nice, nautiques are A LOT nicer than master craft ive skiid behind both... ski nautiques wake is miniscule compared to master crafts....110% better for skiing. nautiques are also more expensive and nicer than master crafts.....as far as slalom skiing goes, nautique wins every time.....now for wakeboarding master crafts wake is bigger, therefore better, but if ur a slalom skiier, trust me ski nautiques the way to go

There's a 'boat' for all types of users, albeit those who enjoy JUST wakeboarding, or JUST skiing or JUST tubbing...or all three. Personally, I grew up around MC's, but over the years, I've seen a more and more CC's and I just saw that the CC was ranked #1 by JD Powers...so, that has to say something about how godd they are. Personally, not really being into just wake-boarding, or skiing, I'd go with either one, as I'm sure there's pro's/con's about both!

Friends of mine have a 1975 Master Craft. It has 220 horsepower 302 Ford engine. Fun to slalom behind compared to a newer boat. You can take it out the ball with you. It little or no wake at 36 miles per hour. Timing into the entrance gate is a little different because the boat is so much smaller than the newer ones. The boat is in excellent condition.

The only two boats worth looking at are Master Craft's and Nautiques. Malibu, Supra, Moomba, and the rest are junk. You can't go wrong with a Master Craft, but the Nautique is a more solid built boat. I like the dashboard on the Nautique better, more user friendly. Slalom wakes on the two are about the same. I don't like the open bow or towers on a ski boat. The Nautique is still the superior boat, but Master Craft is gaining on them. I have found PCM to be more reliable than Indmar.

I am into slalom, tricks, kneeboarding and barefooting. I like the Master Craft Pro Star 190 over the 197. I prefer a closed bow. I have a 1994 Ski Nautique now equipped with Perfect Pass Stargazer. The shape of the hull is identical to the Super Air Nautique. We put in a skylon, and fat sac when we pull kneeboarders and wakeboarders. It works pretty well, but for serious wakeboarding you would want to go with a wakeboard boat.

Im a Nautique fan but i aint a hater. I've riden behind the x-star, the lsv and i own a 211. These are all awesome boats. I just dont see why Master Craft is so cocky. Nautique has been around for 83 years not 30. They do have amazing style unlike them Master Craft hardcore shit. And btw Master Craft could think of a new way to bash on other companies instead of copying apple.

Have you ever asked yourself why when you are in a nautique, the floor is lumpy? It's because they spray foam over thier stringers, cut it with a hand saw, then spray copper gun fiberglass over it and throw carpet on it. Nice floor system nautique's have. Where do I get one!!!

water all year round and the mastercraft and malibu resin gelcoat is bubbling off all around the water line of the hull and the nautique is in perfect condition . and all boats are 2007 also both mastercraft and malibu have had to been sent back to the dealer with emgine and electrical fualts yet the nautique has don hours than both put together and hasnt missed a beat.

Do you really want me to go into more detail? Windshields on nautique are not thru-bolted, neither are thier tracking fins. They use screws with no backing plates. The strut on an MC is held with 8 bolts through steel backing plates, nautique only have 6..or is it 4? Nautique gelcoat lines are all taped because they do sloppy work, and they are just ugly, ugly, ugly. They should change their name to Ski Antique. Oh yea, antique engines are mounted with lag screws instead of threaded like MC

ahaha lol mate i havent been in a mastercraft to date the has a smooth gearbox they are all very rough and sharp changes in and out of snycro.Gelcoat lol did you read what i mentioned before ? i am a fully qualified coating inspector that is my job and the quality of the resin in mastercraft gelcoats doesnt leave much to the imaginination infact it is very disapointing that they sell people boats that wouldnt last over 12 months in the water with out having delaminations and coatings failures.

If your a coatings inspector you know that there are exactly 3 companies that make gelcoat. Currently malibu, nautique, and MC are all buying from the same vendor. You can spin this anyway you want, when the vendor puts out inferior product all three companies are effected at the same time. There have been a few boats from all three companies that have blistered in the last few years, none of them are immune from this. Care to comment on my other construction shortcomings from nautique?
