  • @oramasdj If you suck as a dj, sync won't make you not suck as a dj. It's a tool that allows you to focus on other aspects of your mix, and a helping hand. I've found that I've used sync far less than when I started djing; it's more of a push in the right direction. Stop being elitist; sure, maybe I started as a 'djsync' (whatever the hell that means), but I sure as hell won't die as one.

  • Great mixing mate. I've bought one of these from somebody, can't wait to have a play with it. =D

  • Hello, I have the same one (vci 100)and I have problem with decreasing loops. So it's standard to go loop on 4 bars, and i have to manually decrease loop with mouse. Im using traktor 2 program for djing. Could you explain me how do you decrease loop on vci-100 to 2bars 1bar 1/2, 1/4, 1/8

  • looking to purchase deckadance? watch?v=NuIFLN0JsUk

    10% off instantly

  • jajaja, come on I used to work with 4 vinyls turntables in my childhood, flanger in 2 turntables and schatching in the other, while mixing. now my 10 years daughter do that, Im retired only like a sound engineer, and mobile sound.

  • it's kind of sham for the DJs to use the sync???

  • If you can read a crowd, control your console and have a flair for music and pumping out music to a crowd in a smooth and dynamic way who gives a fuck whether or not you clicked sync or searched for the beat yourself, nobody is saying there was something wrong with DJ's before but let's be real would you rather take a boat or fly? it's just innovation, some will stay with the old school and some will move on. If the music is good both are fine. people need to stop being elitist

  • bellend

  • dude, these are hilarious!! download this in downloadmusic .im

  • GEEZUS! only 100 bucks secondhand! i need to get this.

  • Everyone bitches about the Auto sync, but its the same way everyone bitches about vinyl dj and cdj with the hot cues.

Its just like saying someone bitching about driving a car, because back in the day, they used to walk.

  • sync and digital precision.. do you know how much software there is trying to mimic the analog imperfection of old hardware? So what if it isnt in perfect sync or if it takes time to beatsync. Was there something wrong with the dj's before autosync?

I guess it all depends on what kind of dj you want to hear. If it's one just flipping records fine, then you could probably go with a mixtape.. The fastest way is not always the best. I love the sound of a jumping needle :)

  • DJ'ing is playing good music.

DJ'ing is NOT masturbating to perfect meatmatching skills.

  • @olyfag also playing them in a good order and reading the crowd but good comment :D

  • Что он делает? Только не говорите, что он играет музыку! Наркоман штоле??

  • 1) Hold your breath.

    2) Copy all of these steps.

    3) Go to two other video.

    4) Paste it in the comments.

If you can do all of this without breathing you're a good pot smoker

  • pure chit!!!

  • you born as a djsync and die as a djsync, life´s law. you cand do these all the day an night using sync but nothing compare to a real dj looking for the beats and synchro. there is always time, the dj sync is only to the people who likes playing with djsync toy. djsyncs forever!! nice for cheaps parties!

  • @oramasdj I was born a DJ I've used it all from records to these things. My pref is CDJs

  • @DJCJVANISL oh its soo great when a hater gets such a reply :D

i think using the midi controllers is great as you can havea lot more fun playing with fx loops even playing a new synth over a song the possibilties are endless and its all in time with sync :]

  • @oramasdj no one gives a shit whether anyone uses sync, because in a club, the audience wont care at all infact i doubt anyone would give a shit whether the dj beatmatched himself or used the sync seeing that most of em will still end up being drunk by the end of the night.

  • @oramasdj try to use effects in your mixes with vinyls, i dare you

  • I lake that .

  • Freakman, this is borring.

  • Does jog wheels looks sweet. Looks like those Walkman CD flaps

  • That was a great set man. How long you been doing it?

  • @capecodBMXer123 15 years stared with records

  • Only Sync Button u.u

  • You sound like you work for the company.

  • WHATS BETTER VERTEX VCI-100, THE DJ-TECH I-MIX OR NUMARK MIXTRACK CAUSE IM BOUT TO BUY A MIDI SYSTEM BUT DONT KNOW WHICH TO GET? WHICH WOULD U RECOMMEND OUT OF DA 3? ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT THANKS:)

  • This whole contolerism thing - its interesting but surely what a DJ should be doing between tracks is reading the crowd, checking what record to play next and deciding where he's gonna take his set? There's nothing worse than a DJ who plays to a set list - its never ever going to be as good as a DJ who can structure his set on the fly according to how the night pans out. If you spend your set time 'controlling' you've taken your eye off the ball as far as I'm concerned.

  • @fishybishbash

There's absolutely NOTHING restricting your track selection when you're using this versus two decks and a mixer. If anything, a lot of the guys who have them creatively mapped can do a lot of things faster than they would be able to on a bigger set up (freeing up time for the things you spoke about).

  • @imsgoalie it definately changes the flavour of what you're actually doing as a DJ though - takes it one step closer to performing - which not all of us think is a good thing. I cant help thinking that if someone has gone to the time and trouble to 'creatively map' their tunes they're gonna play those tunes 'whatever'. You may be happy for them to do so. I prefer the DJ to PLAY the records, not process them -

  • @fishybishbash No the tunes aren't "creatively mapped", the keys on controllers themselves are creatively mapped, to make them more powerful tools. That power gives the DJ freedom to do whatever he wants as it strikes him. It changes the flavor of what you're doing as a DJ, for sure. But this isn't something new, there have been DJ's composing/remixing on the fly for a long time. All these controllers do is make the the interface simpler.

Sounds like you don't want a DJ, but a human jukebox!

  • @imsgoalie Crap tunes will always be crap, controller or no. As far as I'm concerned the single most important skill a DJ is ever going to posess is the ability to recognise a good tune when he hears one. If he has that, and is able to string a set together of those tunes in an effective way then whether or not he manipulates them during the set is irrelevent. If you want to do it, fine. There's plenty of top flight DJ's who dont do that and get great reactions.

  • @fishybishbash I agree that good song selection and the ability to mix decently are the foundation of any good set, and not being able to do either of those things won't be covered up by a ton of effects, loops, and cue juggling. These MIDI controllers are just tools tho, and the DJ only has to use them as often during his set as he sees fit. I've seen some really ingenious blends done with these things that otherwise would be impossible. In that way they enable DJs to select songs more freely.

  • @imsgoalie Thats fair comment - also it will probably be that a few bright sparks will start using the technology to devastating effect - I guess dj-ing in 20 years time will be an entirely different beast no matter what - at which I'll be stone deaf anyway and unable to tell the difference

  • @fishybishbash this control is the best is no one upther lake tihis

  • well done

  • u suck chode

  • пиздатый пульт XD))))))))))

  • the first mix into billie jean could've been awesome...

just needed to wait a little longer to mix into billie jeans break :(

    oh well though.. nice mix

  • @rosiebelsmith you idiot

  • @rosiebelsmith you are totally right ,, good job any way ,, but omg it could've super awesome if just you had wait for 20 seconds more into track A bass on and then the bomb ...! good any way ,,

  • very good

  • f**king awesome

  • I like Vestax controllers, thay have style.

    Btw, Nice mixing dude! :)

  • soooo nice :D

  • Nice dude

  • i like the MJ

  • uma merda

  • may crossfade work in program while vestax is plugged in?

  • Just a question: does the vci100 come with deckadance?

  • LANmineTFC- No it doesn't. It's just a demonstration.

  • @LANmineTFC normally it comes with Traktor LE

  • that was nice, buying a vci100 very soon :)

any input on a good sound card that i can get for it? since they are not built in

  • Native Instruments Audio 2 DJ will do just fine, or get the Audio 4 DJ if you need something more pro. If you haven't already bought a VCI-100 look into getting a VCI-100SE from DJTechTools, it has button-bug fixes, looks better, has brighter button LEDs and can be re-mapped which is invaluable.

  • @L2NProductions wow look up on the term DJ, please. You dont have to be big named or play at venues to be a DJ.

  • @L2NProductions also your a fucking raging homo that yerns for a mothers affection. L2NProductions? what the fuck do you produce? ..|.. bitch

  • i produce music. at least i dont claim to be a dj

  • Good, because you don't know what it means.

  • The only difference between playing at home and in front of an audience are the people, no audience doesnt make some a not real dj

  • @NoobTheShow24 He obviously has an audience of 92,000!! I'd like to see most DJs get a small fraction of that amount of attention off of the internet.

  • If he's using traktor with the vc100 you can just hit sync button to sync the bpm to match the same as the track playing. I've got Traktor and VC-100 it's ok but takes the fun out of it.

  • @firstgradeade

he's using deckadance ...of course u also can use there sync.. or you do like normal, set up the same tempe und get the beat with the touch turns..

  • nice mix,but how come you did not touch pitch sliders?all tunes exactly same tempo?i can not believe.

  • Nice Work!

  • Bangin!

  • Hei guys looking my new video in VCI mix! =]

  • Just for the record, I have browsed threw tons of videos just to finally run into this one which shows HOW one could use this on stage so thanks for not being like all the others. I was thinking about getting the Denon DN-HS5500 but then i realized how sometimes I like doing effects to the song fading out(cant do that with a 2 in 1 table). This video was enough to convince me between the two. And plus, it obviously works great from what you showed :)

  • Check out Ean Golden's VCI 100 on youtube. Really BA

  • get the hs5500, run time code cd's and get a korg control for your effects then you can still dj traditionally and use digital too. might a bit pricey but totally worth it!!

  • Dude you should be on stage lol! and i almost forgot i got home from a dj hero demo it was kinda hard on medium.

  • Yea, I know. <-vinyl DJ. Rofl. Seriously though, some of the best vinyl djs out there are using traktor and vci-100's, etc. now because there's only so much you can do with vinyl. I still use vinyl, but dissing someone for using a new tool is absurd.

At the guy saying hip hop djs beatmatching in seconds, I can beat match two records depending on the tracks in like 2-3 seconds plus some more to fine tune the mix, I don't think you get though that traktor doesn't always beat match correctly.

  • <-has vinyl AND this, and a lot of other variants/controllers, I can do a set straight off vinyl easily. The reason I say this: To the vinyl "purist", you're about as bad as any "purist", out of date and not knowing wtf you're talking about because you're afraid to change your status quo for fear you won't be able to cope with the new level djing's going to. Vinyl is awesome and has a certain feel to it you can't replace, even timecode doesn't have the same feeling, but so does this, so stfu.

  • hey bro, i no what cha mean, allot of vinyl people can be a little mean about the new digital age.

still gotta respect them, after all, thats where the term DJ came from. :)

  • damn good mix mate, well done :)

  • :D love your work.... looks like you are fighting someone though :D -> 6:20

  • Its the DJ DANCE!!!!

  • Nice one, dude!

  • if that's your only reason for why it sucks, you're an idiot. Purists fucking shit me - they're like religious fundamentalists. Go witht he flow - this sort of technology will be throughout all clubs in a few years, it's already started.

  • great! dude

  • Damn man that was fuckin INSANE!

    great job subbed

  • nice work m8, im going to buy one tomorrow. anyone who plays PE is cool as f*ck in my book!

  • Funny dance moves and great mix!

  • turn up the highs on the michael jackson man

  • Why do people hate on 'Auto Sync' so much??? Can a normal dj sync a song to the nearest hundreth instantly? I DONT THINK SO. Auto sync gives the dj more room and time to work on the things that really matter! Its the 21st century, lets let technology help us, instead of criticizing it!

  • people hated on mobile phones, on electronic cars ... but look what happened after some years.

  • word.

  • watch some hip hop dj's then say a dj cant beat match in seconds!!! seriosly!! this isn't mixing!

  • @xfp21 if you put it that way. later there will be no djs haha "let technology do all the work"

  • @xfp21

I completely agree, if it is there and you prefer not to use it, that is on you, but it makes life much more easier. Even with the sync button, if you suck at mixing you are just going to suck with or without it.

  • @xfp21

    TRUE!

  • @xfp21

    ...

  • nice mix/moves, i see you're having fun. i use a hdj rmx + vdj pro

  • is this a good dj controller im thinking of buying one is between this and the onmi controller

  • nice dance moves buddy lol

  • nice work, check my one out ;)

  • That guy is bobbing all over the screen lol

  • nice mix..... very very good !! cangradilations !!

  • que tranxa esta chida la

    rooolla !!!!

espero y yo algun dia aga mi video

  • I got one of the first types of these mixers that came out, it didn't really amount to much more than a toy. I forget what it was called but long story short I ended up selling it for 20 bucks. I see they've come a long way tho.

    Cool Stuff ^_^

  • I use the vci 100 too and your putting it too good use, nice mix.

Everyone on the net seems to complain how it's not real DJing but i've erased the sync function and gotten rid of any on screen pointers (phase meter etc) to make the whole mix experience more realistic (:

    I love minilogue.

  • real DJing is really about selecting best songs for the crowd, if u can mix good its just a plus :)

But its true that those autobeat syncs are really not fun. How do u disable them in tracktor ? I just try not to look at them :D

Digital DJing is just next gen DJing, but analogue options are still best which tracktor is barely trying to emulate

  • Yeah well, can a whole 'analog set' be carried around inside your PC? NO! At leat Traktor actually has full functionality, not like that other program...cough...Serato....cough....

  • I'm not saying VCI-100 is bad, in fact i own one. I'm just saying analogue set has quicker response time and better feel...

In terms of portability laptop + VCI-100 is good.

And why should u carry analogue set in ur laptop when every club has CDJs and/or vinyl players where you can play ur records or serato timecoded disks...

  • Actually turntables are on the way out unfortunately as a club staple (it's why I started using vci-100 and traktor, I'm not burning cds because they skip like crazy when you abuse them the way I do), serato sucks fyi compared to traktor, and who wants to buy abunch of cds? and mess with the equipment screwing up? I don't know if you've spun a lot of clubs, but if you have, you know most of the club equipment is pretty beat up. As far as response time, a MIDI controller is better than timecode

  • how were you ablet to get sync to work in traktor? I want to play samples on the bottom 2 players and mess around with the top 2, and I need it to keep my tracks in beat but it goes off all the time and it seriously pisses me off, any advice? thanks

  • It isn't going to always sync your tracks for you, especially if they're bad quality or a strange tempo'd/non-beat slow song, but there are X2 and :2 things you can map in your midi/key map area to each deck. Why they're not on the interface I don't know, but they pretty much switch how it's calculating your BPM say if one track is twice the speed or half the speed what it calculated it to be. So if you auto sync, and hit these, you'll watch the pitch slider jump up and down. Try that maybe.

  • well thanks, but the problem is not that its not reading the bpm properly, but when I press sync, it keeps it in beat for a few bars then starts going off, then I press sync its perfect for a bit, then goes off again... I want to say apply just a kick on deck C, a Snare and Bass on deck D, and mix using the top 2 tracks...and its difficult to keep all 4 decks in beat...I love mixing by ear, its one of the things I love most about mixing and being a dj...but when using many samples it can be hard

  • master tempo

  • nice mix

in my opinio you are good dj

  • Funny Dance))))))))))

  • deckadance isnt very good

  • Well I don't agree.

I can tell you a bunch of reasons way its good.

Tell me some reasons that make it not good.

  • sometimes it jams on me

  • Iv never had it jam

It could be an issue with you computer more the the software.

I also use it on a MAC in OSX, so that probably helps too

  • hey man i also like decka dance and im considering to buy a vci-100, the efects with the x-y parameters can be good controlled with the vci-100?

    thnx

    jm

  • oh yeah also did you buy the software and did updates or are you using some stole software you can't update?

  • You dance like my uncle!

  • could be compatible with traktor pro?

  • Yes

  • DaMMM that might be the best mix iv erevr heard with MJ purtty tight......ima get one purtty soon but every one keeps talking about this (SOND CARD) i have know i idea wat that is can u help me out???pleas>>>>DjSkitZ

  • You need a sound card for audio in and out.

One for headphones and one for sound system.

Also any audio in you might need.

    Cheers

  • What genre is this?

  • Electro

  • the last song was the bast, i am big fan of ferry corsten

  • nice mixing overall, might wana change ur use of songs like others sagested. oh and when i was playing it, made my speakers sound like they were blown and not that much base came outa the subwhopfer (probly didnt spell that right, lol)

  • Thats is youtubes shitty converting that results in bad sound.

  • nice mixing

  • nice dancing. LOL

  • How can I use headphones with it?

Do I HAVE to have a sound card?

  • You need usb sound card (for laptop). I have Numark DJ/IO

  • The VCI-300 has a built-in sound-card. But it's as far as I know, proprietary for use with Serato, whereas the VCI-100 is a class-compliant midi controller (meaning it should work with about everything, but you need a computer w/ soundcard.)

  • VCI-300

works with deckadance and other software you are wrong

  • By the way, I remember that 10 years ago was the same story about cdjs and vinyls. "Cdjs are crap, you ain't a dj, you just playing snogs." And look the situation now - 70% of djs are using cdjs. Things like Vci-100 are the future of DJ-ing, the new tehnologies. But some people do not like changes...

  • I hope it's true what you are sain' ;)

  • As everyone else said... great skills, not such a good selection of music.

  • Talking about music taste ain't leading to anything. I like this song selection - you don't like it, so what?

  • realy good skills, but shityy music :)

  • Excellent !

  • awsome !! simply that, awsome!!

  • great job, It seems you can always thow billie jean baseline and people still love it 25 years later.

  • ud be surprised at how many legit artists are still doing it in their songs. even out at the clubs, i seem to hear it even more often.

  • is there anyway to get sound effects on that vci-100?

  • Yep

It depends on the software you use, or get external.

  • omg, you are amazing (:

  • really nice mix...

.i just bought one can't wait to get my hands on it

  • you got skills. i just don't like your music style :P

  • does vci 100 allow you to listen to the track that's not being played through the speakers? like how the mixers work lol ?

  • Well not the VCI-100, but the sound card that you get for it should.

You just have to make sure the sound card has 2 audio line outs, one to monitor and one for master out.

I used a m-audio audiophile firewire sound card.

    Cheers

  • really good !!!, how much did your mixingtool cost?? im thinking about buying one

  • The VCI-100 was about $500 cad My macbook $1000 cad and sound card was $300 cad.

So $1800 cad or so plus songs.

    Cheers

  • Yeeehhh the best remix !!!! very good !!!

  • who gives a fuck what the dj police say, they can suck a dick and die.

  • haha

    Yeah

    Cheers

  • yooo can u tell me pleae what effects does it comes with..??

i wanna buy one soon and im like to know...

lol im not sure but i have like to in mind planing to buy...

the vestax vci 100 or the torq xponent..

    can u help me out?

thanx good mix by the way

    (:

  • Well that depends on what software you go with.

But it has most popular and common ones.

    Flanger/Reverb/Cutoff/Res

You can use most digital dj sotware to control, like Deckadance/Traktor/DJ Decks/VJD/ and many more.

So whatever effects the program has, you have and most programs you can asign the effects to what ever knob you want and have fun.

Xponent looks too cheap and colourful for me.

However it does have a sound card.

VCI has no sound card you have to get one, and a good one.

    Cheers

  • Could you exlpain to me how the Effects work ?

BTW I got no controller, just PC.

I cant run the effects on a song :s.

  • Well it depends on the software your using.

I can't explain it better then the instructions so really Id say read the instructions.

    Cheers

  • funny music lol
