Just use your M9 on the gekko's legs , it will tranquilize the gekko and it wont be able to move !!

Another trick you can do is IDK if you know or not dude but to save ammo for the M82 you can use the MkII to turn on the switch board you shot with the Nikita in MGS1 which turns on the electric current on the electric floor and then you can use that method to destroy the Gekko

A trick for the area in the nuke building that I used to do in MGS1 to get past all the guards without an alert was I'd equip the PSG-1 and snipe through that door you have to crouch/crawl to get through I'm nastalgic about MGS1 too but I still wish they'd have included the PSG-1 on this game or at least added Sniper Wolf to MGO as a unique character & at least give it to her as a unique weapon like Johnny's XM8 compact although I think as a unique weapon for Johnny the FAMAS would be better

I am proud to say that I'm one of the few 16 year olds out there that got nostalgic during this act. Brought back a lot of great memories of the first game. I just took my time walking through the whole place reliving all the memories.

the funny thing is i have the essential pack for the ps2. it has the mgs1 disc on the original ps1 format discs. part 2 and 3 are subsistence. which i heard the u.s. copy doesn't have european extreme on it i mean the original release before the subsistence. so i figured if i could get the stealth suit on one try without practice run through the game the big boss extreme woul dbe easy, but the damn bike chase is bull shit. once i get past that part i think the tiny gekkos will be the next.

@reonsacnicteravnos there's some at the ending of part 2 right before the gekko tries to swipe you before you get to the copter. you could do a playthrough to get them and then have them ready for the next playthrough.

there is a trick for the gekko at the electrified floor use Metal Gear mk II and go to to power core at the end of the hallway where snake blown with Nikita at mgs1 and stand infront of it then press Δ and the gekko gets shocked +5000 DP and boom

You can use the MK2 to turn on the power of the corridor and fry the Gekko :D

when the gecko busts through the ceiling first get out of sight then take controll of the mk 3 and turn on the electric floors by going straight across the hallway the gecko crashed into( after it turns) go under the desk and go to the big box near the elevator past the broken glass pannels and press triangle this turns on the floors killing the gecko and awarding you 1000 drebin pts

@thesoldier1223 i say mgs 1 and 3 are the best. this has rip off bosses crying wolf rip off of sniper wolf. mgs 4 isn't a bad game but the bike chase is bull shit the boss battles suck 2 forms. the only boss that's not a rip off is ocelot. mgs2 liquid took over him supposedly. liquid is his doppelganger though.

Did you know it's possible to buy the M82 in Act 3? I managed to do it at least :) I just waited for it to be a Wednesday, when Drebin's Shop is in discount. With it, the M82 costs160000 DPs, making it easily buyable once you start Act 3, and I guess if you picked up enough items along the way through acts 1 ans 2. It sure made the Raging Raven fight a lot easier. I beat her faster than you did :P

when the gekko is in the part where ninja killed everyone in the first mgs use the mark III and move to the breaker planel when you destroyed with nikia missle and the electrify it and and it will give you a lot of drebin points

according to the official mgs4 guide alert fases doesn´t count during the dream sequence. Also it doesn´t count towards your total game time.

I loved this fight. All I did was keeps using the starting frogs as bait (when you tranq them, she howls and comes to the area for some reason) and shot when she opened. When the frogs woke up I put them to sleep again and she kept comeing each time XD

The way to get past the first wave of Scarabs is to crawl through the vent CLOSEST TO THE HANGAR DOOR ON THE FIRST FLOOR and go inside out of the Scarabs' views and into the Canyon.
