This is what the world needs these days... Just a mild mannered man with super powers to clean everything up. What would the U.S. government do if he came along and decided to take control with the constitution of the USA in mind?
@darkfoot In the simplest of terms. Taking a story..and going about it in way that entirely goes against the comic book and everything for simple ratings. They weren't about being kind to the storyline..this show was about ratings..just like every other piece of shit tv show out there
I remember when I was at this point in the series and I thought. "Wow...this series is bizarre!" I didn't think it'd hook me but now I'm in the middle of the 4th season!
@cmdrkoenig67 The reason for the costume is for arrow-dynamics, but Superman can move just as fast without the spandex. All I'm saying is that the suit needs an upgrade, but still similar to the original.
@cmdrkoenig67 Yes, bc ur getting ur panties all in a bunch, bc I think the superman suit does look gay... or im sorry, homosexual. Fyi, stop being a little bitch.
@DanielJohn19 Please, you called Superman's outfit gay (meaning you think it's bad, which incredibly offensive to gay people), you told me to grow up and you called me a bitch...Why wouldn't I be worked up?
@DanielJohn19 You called Superman's costume gay (using the term for something distasteful or bad, which is incredibly offensive to gay people), you tell me to grow up when I call you out on your insult and then you call me a bitch. Why wouldn't I get worked up?
@DanielJohn19 I have a pair...it's why I said something. Obviously, your ignorance is too crippling for you to realize what you're saying is just plain stupidity.
@cmdrkoenig67 My gay friend just read what your complaining about and agrees with mine "whiny little bitch" comment. As for the word "gay", it's not offensive. Gay-Pride?! lol Gay isn't a bad word.

I adore the 90's and this show - my personal favorite Superman adaptation. Dean Cain is definitely the most handsome Clark ever. Teri Hatcher shines here and her haircut was epic. Also Tracy Scoggins's Cat should've been in more seasons. Very nice & entertaining series. I loved many TV shows in the 90's - this one, Acapulco H.E.A.T., The X Files, La Femme Nikita, Melrose Place, Spy Game, RoboCop The Series, L.A.Heat, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Pretender, Babylon 5, SeaQuest, MK Conquest, Amazon, Lexx

Why is it so hard to think up a realistic, adult Superman-universe? Clark is no worse than Son Goku! Especially if we see, how shit both of there last movies were.
It was never mentioned how this suit would stand up to the rigours of high speed super flight...They should have touched on the lore surrounding the material...the costume was made using the Kryptonian blankets from his rocket...Clark made a needle with his heat vision, and Marth Kent had to unravel the material (being from Krypton, the blanket was a as invulnerable as he was)..
@joeyvader actually in one of the episodes in season three it was brought up they said superman's raw power actually emanated from his body and created an aura that made everything with in a millimeter of his body impervious as he was. I kinda of thought this was a cop out but at least they tried to address the issue
@lanthiode09 I see....if this were the case, his cape isn't a mm from his body...it would have shredded to ribbons!!! I like DCs idea from the comics better...that the suit was made from Kryptonian blankets..
@preacherZer0 Not an idea I can take credit for...DC touched on this idea, and it became part of Superman's lore in the 60's (I think)..the blankets couldn't be cut, but could be unwoven..Ma Kent had Clarke cut the threads with his heat vision..the needle used to sew it was from a sliver from the rocket ship he arrived in..once again, with the help of Kal-El's heat vision, a needle's eye was made...the lenses of his glasses were made from glass from the ship..(ordinary lenses would melt)...
it is funny. 2 out of 3 of the trinity members in dc comics now have new outfits but superman lol. wonderwoman has a new outfit and now batman yet superman is still wearing his underwear over his pants lol
"If I have an effective disguise, I won't have to worry about people finding out about me."
Here's a novel idea, Clarkie-boy: How about you make an "effective disguise" that DOESN'T rely on the people around you being total idiots? Like maybe one which consists of more than a pair of glasses? Maybe a superhero costume with an actual mask? Revolutionary, I know.
@Nacha255 yeah, its obvious to those of us watching the whole thing... *shrugs* but people really do see what they want to, much of the time. the resemblance has been noted (by a drugged Lois and a "hindsight is 20/20" Jimmy after Diana Stride reveals him on national tv), but little more than that. oh well, blame the original creators lol
@CassandraMotou Yeah, it's not really a big deal. Back when Superman was created in the 30's the whole superhero genre was more gimmicky and lighthearted like that, so it didn't really matter. And now they're just kinda stuck with it. It's always funny seeing how the various Superman adaptations try to get around it. Like with Chris Reeve changing his posture and mannerisms, etc. Smallville just kinda gave up and had Lois know his secret before he's even Superman.
@Nacha255 haha true. whichever way ya go, somebody's gonna have kittens. either you go the logical route and actually make him look/sound different in his dual personas and have long-time fans go ballistic, or you have him do basically the same thing he's always done and have fans think the rest of Metropolis and so on is completely clueless ^_^()
This Guy Should Never Have Been Superman, Not Only Is He The Shortest To Have Played The Role, But Isn't Superman Supposed to Be All American, Dean Cain's Part Oriental, With Brown Eyes They Could Have Given Him Contacts Like They Did With Brandon Routh, This Is No Attack On People Of Oriental Back Ground, but It's Like Having Bruce Lee Being Played By Christian Bale.....
Chris Reeve Was The Best To Ever Grace The Screen As This Role, And Now I Think Tom Welling Shoud Get His Chance
I always get chills when he takes off his glasses and looks confidently into the mirror. With the music swelling up, it's actually a perfect scene. What a great show this was!
@piocarrot Like I said about dick cheney, when he was a P>O>W> for all them years if a guy soilder was to come up and rescue him he would not refuse to go
@TheMysteryMask You're right. The annoying thing is I've seen all sorts of TV shows repeated: Friends, Will&Grace, Red Dwarf, Star Trek (with various Captains), but I've never seen Lois & Clark repeated. It's such a shame cos I'd love to watch them through again.
