Ali did this with all his rivals...the difference here being he wanted to utterly destroy Joe before he got into the ring. Ali was used by the muslims behind him...but he still has to take responsibilty for what he said ...the problem i have with this documentary is it elevates Joe by tearing Ali down ...instead of promoting Joe on his own merits...it also questions Ali's greatness as a boxer wich is bull..no matter what he said ...his skill and intelligence in the ring cannot be questioned.

I agree and respect your comments. Ali was great in the ring, the way he worked out his aponents and knew the exact way to do it was amazing. But this time, Ali went way over the line and used extreme racism, wich he had suffered alot of and vowed to end. Also the documentary does praise frazier alot, saying he deserves more, had great heart and that he could've done better had he not been partialy blind in the left eye.

Ali did go over the line and Joe has to be given the respect he is due...but i fear people who dont know much about boxing watching this will just turn on Ali because it seems to say this the true Ali forget what you have heard before . Instead it should say this is the dark side of Ali.

understand totally mate! read this book written by ali on his views and stuff. His faith is incredible, and he does have alot of heart, at least now anyway. But i supose his showcase self isnt his usual self.

If u watched it youd know. He called him an uncle tom, wich is probably the worst racial comment you can call a black person according to the documentary mate. It means something like white mans slave or white mans puppet or something. His gorilla comments were also extremely racial, as frazier was darker than ali.
