It sure can. It's got quite a graphics card. It's got an ATI (Mobility Radeon) HD 4830 with 1GB of graphics memory and a Core i7 chip of up to 2.8Ghz.

I think this whole HP Envy vs Macbook Pro debate in this thread is just silly, but I do think I need to point out that just because it says "integrated" it doesn't mean it's "shared". The Nvidea Geforce 9600M is a discrete card with dedicated memory. The 9400M is the shared card that the user can switch to in order to use less battery. So the 9600M does qualify as a higher end graphics card.
envy is cool but i dnt dig having to carry around my dvd drive and the macbook pro is better lookin in my opinion and i had to suffer with hp horrible customer service compared to apple's. based on spec envy is a better buy in my opinion but i love the design and osx
But you're only sacrificing an internal DVD drive for air ventilation, if you haven't noticed, the envy has air vents all along the sides. Whereas the Macbook is solely dependent on it's aluminum casing to absorb the heat...

It seems that the 'entertainment packed' 64 bit hp laptops fail horribly i have repaired many. I have had good luck with basic HP laptops and desktops running AMD processors with 32 windows installed (Intel laptops seem to get cheaper components to make up for the price difference, I always buy AMD). On the contrary Dell cant tell the difference between a hard drive and a piece of tin, and they have THE WORST touch pads with an almost 500ms delay.
But think about it you get a a few options that aren't even available on the Macs, such as Blu-Ray, HDMI, and a VERY bright screen. But then again, if HP is going to copy, they might as well copy from the benchmark, let's not forget it's probably decked out with the i7, which can probably justify the hefty price. Both are expensive, but the HP isn't the rip-off, at least not now.

Theres no need for this arguement about copy and which is better macbook pro or this. Currently, Spec wise, speed and graphics goto this hands down. But the reason macbooks are still up there is their OS and Hardware. if both had the same 'sutff' inside, memory, processor, graphics. i think Macs still wins hands down. but obviously price still has to take account to.

This computer is pretty much gaming heaven.

AND you dont have that OS junk system to work with, for which you need to re-buy al the software you already have for windows (or buy windows and use bootcamp).

I love it, I have been waiting for a great laptop to buy and consider battery life and performance a key as well as sleekness. I like everything except they need to have a built in optical drive + back lit keyboard and then I will be satisfied. I guess I am just going to play the waiting game.

It seems that the 'entertainment packed' 64 bit hp laptops fail horribly i have repaired many. I have had good luck with basic HP laptops and desktops running AMD processors with 32 windows installed (Intel laptops seem to get cheaper components to make up for the price difference, I always buy AMD). On the contrary Dell cant tell the difference between a hard drive and a piece of tin, and they have THE WORST touch pads with an almost 500ms delay.

But think about it you get a a few options that aren't even available on the Macs, such as Blu-Ray, HDMI, and a VERY bright screen. But then again, if HP is going to copy, they might as well copy from the benchmark, let's not forget it's probably decked out with the i7, which can probably justify the hefty price. Both are expensive, but the HP isn't the rip-off, at least not now.
