respect, programming FM is no joke. Luckily I was able to obtain the hypra rom cardridge files for the DX7, which i imported into FM8. A huge and very good collection of FM patches.
All own patches (in every FM8 remix video), I've never heard patches like these from others, so I've little choice. Besides, I prefer to make them myself anyway.
It didn't take long to get around FM8, but what's essential is understanding FM synthesis, and I've been dealing with FM since the early 90's, starting out with 2-op FM and only a few channels of polyphony. That'll teach you efficiency.
