The mass is a copy written text and should not be video taped without permission of the local ordinary. Therefore this site is in contradiction of both civil and canon law. Get educated!
Thanks for this. Just curious but did anyone hear what was being said at around 3:40 to 3:50? I assume that was a parishioner objecting to the incorporation of clowns in the mass but I could not hear exactly what he was saying.
Keep in mind that many of these sequences are from parishes which are not in communion with the Catholic Church. I hate liturgical abuses as much as anyone (I'm a seminarian), but I would recommend reading the GIRM (General Instructions for the Roman Missal) which gives the OFFICIAL guidelines for performing the Roman Rite (Ordinary Form). But just as you, I greatly prefer the Tridentine Mass.
@jedi1991 Also, female "priests" aren't part of the Catholic Church for sure. They have their own separate schismatic group. There is nothing in the Conciliar (Vatican II) documents that allow for clown masses, female "priests", puppets, or any other abuses like this. Separate the facts from ultra-traditionalist propaganda.
Are these clown masses real? At 6:00, the (supposed) celebrant is sitting whilst costumed women (whom, I assume, are meant to be extraordinary Eucharistic ministers). Forget the costumes and the witch that follows, the fact that the celebrant is not the primary administrator of the Eucharist (with assistance, if necessary, due to the size of the parish congregation) is itself reason for the local Diocese to investigate.

Faithful Catholics dont despair. I have sat through many banal and sickening 'masses' in my own 'catholic' parish. Until I discovered the Latin Mass of Ages. Wow, what a difference. I could not believe the solemnity, the depth of prayer and the reverence of all present. The homily was on purgatory!! Purgatory! It wasnt a talk along the lines of Im Ok, You're Ok. I phoned my dad and said "Why didnt you tell me it used to be like this"? I have come home. Try this before you leave the Church.

These are amazing expressions of how God connects with His people. I am so grateful that I belong to a church that seeks ways to connect with all people. The liturgy is such an awesome way to experience Jesus's Good News, and I love the way it is so broad and inclusive. Yea, Catholicism!

Hence the better translation of the english texts, his use of the ad orientem posture during some his masses even tho they are N.O masses, and other things such as him mandating people kneel for Communion during his mass. It's slow true, but he's working on it. Personally i go to a church run by institute of Christ the king, they are wonderful.
This made me sick. If I went to any of those churches, I would report them to the Pope himself, forget the bishop or the archbishop! @aelwyn82 hey, look up the 95 theses of Martin Luther and look at what they really say. Luther claimed, even after he posted the theses to be a Catholic priest and monk. I am not sure as to the accuracy of these images, but I have personally witnessed many liturgical abuses; a clown mass, hockey mass, healing stones. These events took place in various locales. Sadly, there has been little action until recently. It is most proper to worship God by means of the Tridentine Mass and the eastern Liturgy's (such as Divine Liturgy of St. Chrysostom).

The Novus Ordo in its essence is not evil, it is its abominable translation by the so fallible ICEL that is a travesty. On top of its awful translation, so many abuses exist here in North America due to laxity, apathy, poor catechesis, among some other issues. God bless you New York guy. (p.s. When Pope Paul VI instituted the Ordinary form of the Roman missal, none of this was ever intended by him. these abuses didnt take place till later. The tradition and ritualistic nature of the catholic church is leading many Christians away from the truth...and down a very dark path. God didn't author any of the craziness that Catholics practice nowadays...it's so sad.

The pure liturgical worship can be found anywhere in the world on any appropriate day in the Holy Orthodox Church (which by the way, IS Catholic, just not Westernized with all the trimmings accumulated since scholasticism took hold lo those many years ago). RE: Barney Mass: Bishop Tod Brown will be retiring this fall, he will be replaced by an orthodox priest (yet to be consecrated bishop). He's trying to by Crystal Cathedral, which cannot become an orthodox Catholic house of worship!
i was the music director at a church that scheduled a clown mass. i was told the priest mimed his homily by dressing as a clown and miming the crucifixion of Christ. I refused to attend or take part, and man oh MAN did I EVER get in trouble for it. Nearly all 1500 parishioners turned on me and made my life a living hell until I resigned 6 months later. They even damaged my car and left me death threats.
Please say that these arent actually catholics! I'm a catecumen from Finland and I'm truly shocked... I thought this kind of phenomena usually only happen among the protestants. Well... perhaps this is something that the Church has to deal with... and I didn't decide to reconcile myself with the Church because I thought it was somekind of safe haven, but because I believe that the Catholic Church is the Church Christ himself founded.

I had to leave a local parish due to liturgical abuses. This church had 2 permanent deacons who served at the altar in a suit and tie, never in vestments. This same church also replaced their traditional tabernacle with a large glass tube to hold the Blessed Sacrament. Lastly, during the consecration, the priest allowed people to stand in a circle around the altar holding hands, then he passed that chalice around the circle so each person could hand it to the next saying "blood of Christ" ,
I hope the women in the last clip know that they (AND the "Bishops" that "Ordained" them) were automatically excomunicated on their "Ordination" day...but oh wait, they still refer to themselves as Roman Catholic...I say try going up to the Pope and say that you're an Ordained Woman Priest, see what he says.

Some on the videos are just crazy... But most of them are very good, that is the way that they share their faith... Do you feel that all Masses should be dry and uninteresting. I have been to masses all across the country and they are all different and I feel just as filled with joy and hope, at a very quiet mass and a very expressive mass. How do you show your love for God?
@jacx800 True faithful don't go to Mass to be entertained or for a "good feeling" experience. We go because we love the Lord, acknowledge we need his graces and thank Him for His love and scrifice.
@jacx800 What is critical is that the Holy Mass be conducted in a manner of reverence and respect. No one said dry or uninteresting. But this is the continuation of the very sacrifice by which Christ Himself redeemed the world. The human mind cannot comprehend the value and importance of each and every Mass. Padre Pio said the world could more easily exist without the sun than without the Mass. St. John Vianney said if we knew the value of the Mass we'd die from joy. Not a trivial matter at all.

I find the mass to be exciting, as we are preparing ourselves in prayer to receive Jesus. The mass is about being in prayer and worshiping Him with reverence. The Mass is blasphemous to beging with, you recurcify Christ every day! BTW, the second Clown lead mass is actually an Episcopal liturgy. There is nothing wrong with dancing, read the Psalms! Its a historical and (logically correct) fact that the New Testament did not exist when Jesus was quoting scripture. The New Testament which is about Jesus could not have existed when Jesus was quoting scripture - we don't need history to see that - just common sense would do. Jesus was quoting the Old Testaments.
So no its not my lack of knowledge, it rather probably that no one has told this to you before. Think about it and pray.

I pray for the people in these videos, even though I believe that these are not the mass that we celebrate. These are just traditional things that these churches do and yes they are wrong, but the one who should be told this is the bishop of each diocese not youtube.
Just look into the Orthodox Church. We haven't changed our theology or liturgical practices. You Traditional Catholics are hoping in vain that the Roman Papacy will change things prior to Vatican I&II. Good luck! Or better yet, seek out a Western Orthodox Rite Church.

Are you sure those are catholics because both the esopical church & anglican church also does a rite that very close to catholics. They do the mass baiscally the same as catholics do. I say this becasue I notice that in many of those videos they use a brown,thick bread instead of the small,thin,white bread that catholics use. Also because I notice at the last video there were female "priest" something that the catholic church does no allow. Get your facts right and than take it out on public.
I remember the Halloween Mass in Orange County California. That parish issued an apology. This is just pathetic. I thought that the Mass that I went today was bad, this is disgusting. I became Catholic to get away from this crap, like people attending service in their pajamas and eating a bowl of cereal. this is terrible!!
Thanks for posting this. I just came back from the worst Mass I have ever been to. It was awfu. There were a group of young girls in the back laughing, texting and making a general racket. The priest spoke for all of about two minutes, there were people running all over the Church during the service, there was clapping and laughing, people leaving after communion. I was totally fed up. When I asked the girls to keep it down, they simply ignored me.. I will never attend that parish again.

Jesus speaks of being born again in the Bible, but you are taking it out of context. He speaks of salvation by being baptized in the Catholic Church. Salvation is available to all who are baptized, but that's up to God. I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Personal Savior, so I receive the Eurcharist every week and try to stay in the state of Grace, but I screw up and need to repent and be forgiven. God is merciful and thank God for that!

Still Catholic over here. Okay, again, if the Catholic Church is NOT the one true Church of God, then what church is and where do you get your information from? I will then proceed to answer your questions with good will and joy.
One thing I'd like to address though is the laying on of hands in prayer. It is NOT an abuse of the liturgy providing that it is designated as a "Charismatic" Mass. Those practices are actually what the first century of the Church also did. STILL, there is a time and place for that and it needs to be organized and led by the Holy Spirit, not without any sort of order or by people who don't know what they're doing and are just putting on a show. The Latin Mass is holy, so is the Charismatic Mass.
@CartmanMorisato -To say "latin Mass" versus "Charismatic Mass" is false and this is why. Traditional Latin Mass or Extraordinary Form of the Mass as the Pope calls it, is speaking of the liturgy of the Mass, the Mass itself (not what you see in these vids) -again, according to our Pope. Whereas anything Charismatic is a form of worship, not the liturgy itself, but the way you pray the liturgy.
These are horrible atrocities and the priests that have let or perhaps encouraged these abuses should be excommunicated, plain and simple. They've lost their love and focus on Christ and have instead chosen to celebrate worldly and/or evil things. Devil costumes in church, SERIOUSLY?!?!? And those women "priests" might as well have been a coven, sure looks like one.

Keep in mind that many of these sequences are from parishes which are not in communion with the Catholic Church. I hate liturgical abuses as much as anyone (I'm a seminarian), but I would recommend reading the GIRM (General Instructions for the Roman Missal) which gives the OFFICIAL guidelines for performing the Roman Rite (Ordinary Form). But just as you, I greatly prefer the Tridentine Mass.

Are these clown masses real? At 6:00, the (supposed) celebrant is sitting whilst costumed women (whom, I assume, are meant to be extraordinary Eucharistic ministers). Forget the costumes and the witch that follows, the fact that the celebrant is not the primary administrator of the Eucharist (with assistance, if necessary, due to the size of the parish congregation) is itself reason for the local Diocese to investigate.

Faithful Catholics dont despair. I have sat through many banal and sickening 'masses' in my own 'catholic' parish. Until I discovered the Latin Mass of Ages. Wow, what a difference. I could not believe the solemnity, the depth of prayer and the reverence of all present. The homily was on purgatory!! Purgatory! It wasnt a talk along the lines of Im Ok, You're Ok. I phoned my dad and said "Why didnt you tell me it used to be like this"? I have come home. Try this before you leave the Church.

I am not sure as to the accuracy of these images, but I have personally witnessed many liturgical abuses; a clown mass, hockey mass, healing stones. These events took place in various locales. Sadly, there has been little action until recently. It is most proper to worship God by means of the Tridentine Mass and the eastern Liturgy's (such as Divine Liturgy of St. Chrysostom).

The Novus Ordo in its essence is not evil, it is its abominable translation by the so fallible ICEL that is a travesty. i was the music director at a church that scheduled a clown mass. i was told the priest mimed his homily by dressing as a clown and miming the crucifixion of Christ. I refused to attend or take part, and man oh MAN did I EVER get in trouble for it. Nearly all 1500 parishioners turned on me and made my life a living hell until I resigned 6 months later. They even damaged my car and left me death threats.

I had to leave a local parish due to liturgical abuses. This church had 2 permanent deacons who served at the altar in a suit and tie, never in vestments. This same church also replaced their traditional tabernacle with a large glass tube to hold the Blessed Sacrament. Lastly, during the consecration, the priest allowed people to stand in a circle around the altar holding hands, then he passed that chalice around the circle so each person could hand it to the next saying "blood of Christ" ,

Some on the videos are just crazy... But most of them are very good, that is the way that they share their faith... Do you feel that all Masses should be dry and uninteresting. I have been to masses all across the country and they are all different and I feel just as filled with joy and hope, at a very quiet mass and a very expressive mass. How do you show your love for God?

@jacx800 What is critical is that the Holy Mass be conducted in a manner of reverence and respect. No one said dry or uninteresting. But this is the continuation of the very sacrifice by which Christ Himself redeemed the world. The human mind cannot comprehend the value and importance of each and every Mass. Padre Pio said the world could more easily exist without the sun than without the Mass. St. John Vianney said if we knew the value of the Mass we'd die from joy. Not a trivial matter at all.

@jacx800 NOTHING in this video is an acceptable form of worship. What is so boring about 2,000 years of rich traditions?? I find the mass to be exciting, as we are preparing ourselves in prayer to receive Jesus. The mass is about being in prayer and worshiping Him with reverence. It's not supposed to be some lewd dress-up party.

If there are women Priests they are not Roman Catholic, there is no such thing..
There are plenty of Vatican II churches in the world that do not do this stuff and just have mass... I have also never seen the body of Christ as anything other than a wafer..how can a Catholic Mass have bread... If all the Traditionalists see of the modern Mass is this kind of video, no wonder they hate it, this looks to be American more than anything.

The Mass is blasphemous to beging with, you recurcify Christ every day! BTW, the second Clown lead mass is actually an Episcopal liturgy. There is nothing wrong with dancing, read the Psalms! Nothing wrong with Guitars, Drums, Cymbals, Hands lifted in worship either. I do however have a problem with so called Christians celebrating halloween. The Pastor of Corpus Christi needs councilling. Women in ministry goes back to Junia, a female Apostle, Phoebe (deacon), Priscilla (Pastor).

Its a historical and (logically correct) fact that the New Testament did not exist when Jesus was quoting scripture. The New Testament which is about Jesus could not have existed when Jesus was quoting scripture - we don't need history to see that - just common sense would do. Jesus was quoting the Old Testaments.
So no its not my lack of knowledge, it rather probably that no one has told this to you before. Think about it and pray.

I pray for the people in these videos, even though I believe that these are not the mass that we celebrate. These are just traditional things that these churches do and yes they are wrong, but the one who should be told this is the bishop of each diocese not youtube.

Just look into the Orthodox Church. We haven't changed our theology or liturgical practices. You Traditional Catholics are hoping in vain that the Roman Papacy will change things prior to Vatican I&II. Good luck! Or better yet, seek out a Western Orthodox Rite Church.

Are you sure those are catholics because both the esopical church & anglican church also does a rite that very close to catholics. They do the mass baiscally the same as catholics do. I say this becasue I notice that in many of those videos they use a brown,thick bread instead of the small,thin,white bread that catholics use. Also because I notice at the last video there were female "priest" something that the catholic church does no allow. Get your facts right and than take it out on public.

I remember the Halloween Mass in Orange County California. That parish issued an apology. This is just pathetic. I thought that the Mass that I went today was bad, this is disgusting. I became Catholic to get away from this crap, like people attending service in their pajamas and eating a bowl of cereal. this is terrible!!

Thanks for posting this. I just came back from the worst Mass I have ever been to. It was awfu. There were a group of young girls in the back laughing, texting and making a general racket. The priest spoke for all of about two minutes, there were people running all over the Church during the service, there was clapping and laughing, people leaving after communion. I was totally fed up. When I asked the girls to keep it down, they simply ignored me.. I will never attend that parish again.

Sacred scripture without sacred tradition is apt to the waywardness and confusion of human squabbling and misinterpretation. Jesus speaks of being born again in the Bible, but you are taking it out of context. He speaks of salvation by being baptized in the Catholic Church. Salvation is available to all who are baptized, but that's up to God. I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Personal Savior, so I receive the Eurcharist every week and try to stay in the state of Grace, but I screw up and need to repent and be forgiven. God is merciful and thank God for that!

One thing I'd like to address though is the laying on of hands in prayer. It is NOT an abuse of the liturgy providing that it is designated as a "Charismatic" Mass. Those practices are actually what the first century of the Church also did. STILL, there is a time and place for that and it needs to be organized and led by the Holy Spirit, not without any sort of order or by people who don't know what they're doing and are just putting on a show. The Latin Mass is holy, so is the Charismatic Mass.

Traditional Latin Mass or Extraordinary Form of the Mass as the Pope calls it, is speaking of the liturgy of the Mass, the Mass itself (not what you see in these vids) -again, according to our Pope. Whereas anything Charismatic is a form of worship, not the liturgy itself, but the way you pray the liturgy.
