Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. "-Jer 29:10-14
It all happened according to God’s plan: Herod and Pilate did only what God “had decided beforehand should happen” (Acts 4:28). In the Garden of Gethsemane, as Jesus knew that he would soon be crucified, Jesus asked his Father if there might be some other way, but there was none (Luke 22:42). His death was necessary for our salvation.
esus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. "-Jer 29:10-14
Yeshua HaMashiach (JESUS CHRIST) was indeed crucified. You want proof? Go and read Daniel 9:24-27, Psalm 22, and Isaiah 53, these are messianic prophecies.
A lovely presentation made by Shabbir Ally, may Allah bless him. However, there is a major flaw in his argument at around 18:33. He states that the Muslim claim is NOT a supernatural one. This is true for everything he states EXCEPT that he says that Jesus is raised by God to Himself. Now, is it natural for human beings to be raised physically to God (and where is God??? Only in one specific place, or everywhere?)? A person rising bodily to God IS SUPERNATURAL. This idea goes against nature.
@Peace4everynation it goes against the nature of man but not the nature of God to raise the thing whish He has created. So it is still part of nature.....
@SuperMaryam16 : The Holy Qur'an states that it is against God's practice to raise a person's body. In 39:42, Allah says that He takes (YATAWAFFA) the souls of people during at the time of their death OR during their sleep. And He only retains those who have been decreed to DIE, and sends back those meant to LIVE. He DOES NOT therefore retain anyone meant to live, and DOES NOT take the body. At the time of death or sleep, it is only the SOUL that is taken. So, if Jesus was taken, he is DEAD.
@SuperMaryam16: When the disbelievers asked the Holy Prophet Muhammad s.a. to go up into the sky (mentioned in the Quran in 17:89-97) what did Rasoolullah s.a. answer? He said: Holy is my Lord! Am I anything but a man, a messenger? So, if anyone goes up physically into the sky, then according to the Quran, he becomes MORE THAN A MAN AND MESSENGER. Therefore, all Muslims who believe in the bodily raising of Jesus to the sky will have to accept that JESUS IS MORE THAN A MAN AND MESSENGER.
@Peace4everynation well, he did went to the heavens. When he had to recieve the five daily prayers. And Elijah according tothe bible was also risen to the heavens. So that doesnot make Jesus more than a messenger...
@Peace4everynation 1.well, he did went to the heavens. When he had to recieve the five daily prayers. And Elijah according tothe bible was also risen to the heavens. So that doesnot make Jesus more than a messenger...
2. You said "Moreover, where is Allah??? Is He in a place to which Jesus a.s. had to travel bodily? ALLAH IS EVERYWHERE. " We muslims donot believe that Allah is omnipresent. God is not everywhere. Only His wisdom is with us. God created the earth. He is not part of this universe.
@SuperMaryam16: I think you missed the point. The Holy Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stated that A MAN AND MESSENGER CANNOT GO UP TO THE SKY PHYSICALLY. So if you say that Jesus CAN, then you are contradicting the HOLY MESSENGER OF ALLAH - Na'oodhu billah. Also, Allah SWT IS OMNIPRESENT according to the Noble Qur'an: "Wherever you are, He is with you" 57:4; "Wherever you turn, you will find the countenance of Allah" 2:115. Will you contradict Allah too?
@Peace4everynation "Wherever you are, He is with you" 57:4; "Wherever you turn, you will find the countenance of Allah" 2:115 There is no contradiction with that. When the Prophet was asked what that meant, he said Allah is with us by His wisdom. That is what it means. Allah is not part of this universe. And nowhere did the Prophet say a man cannot go to the heaves. Even the Prophet Himself went to the Heavens to recieve the daily Prayers where he met many of the Prophets. Full Stop-Period..
@SuperMaryam16: Where was the Prophet s.a. asked this? Give the reference please. The Prophet s.a. NEVER went physically to the heavens. It was all a dream. He never saw Allah with his physical eyes: Bukhari, Vol. 9, Bk 93, No. 477 : 'Aisha said, "If anyone tells you that Muhammad saw his Lord, he is a liar, for Allah says: 'No vision can grasp Him.' (6.103) And if anyone tells you that Muhammad saw the Unseen, he is a liar, for Allah says: "None has the knowledge of the Unseen but Allah."
@SuperMaryam16: And this hadith in Bukhari PROVES that the Prophet s.a. travelled in a DREAM, not physically. The story of his spiritual voyage is told in Bukhari, Vol. 9, Book 93, No. 608 : The journey starts“...while he was sleeping in the Sacred Mosque...” and at the end of his spiritual voyage, it is related “...The Prophet then woke while he was in the Sacred Mosque (at Mecca).” HE WAS ASLEEP ALL ALONG. Whoever believes that the heaven containing the dead is physical, is in grave error.
@SuperMaryam16 : Moreover, where is Allah??? Is He in a place to which Jesus a.s. had to travel bodily? ALLAH IS EVERYWHERE. Allah says in the Qur'an that He raised Jesus to HIMSELF. Any Muslim who believes that Jesus was BODILY raised, will have to believe that Allah was not present at the place where Jesus stood on earth, and therefore Jesus had to travel physically towards that place where Allah was. Astaghfirullah, may Allah preserve us from such a blasphemous concept of Allah. Ameen.
