  • @ernststolz

THanks again for the info !!! ...although if they are an actual physical shop ... i think it's almost impossible at the moment ... but i'll see what i can do ... have a nice & musical week !!! :-)

  • Beautiful playing as always! The paintings could be Ecclesiastes applied to the 17th century. Perhaps the unfortunate violist should not have laid his tired head down on the manuscript? Especially ironic is the last skull wearing a victor's laurel wreath. Thank God for "O Death, where is thy victory?" Sic transit gloria mundi, indeed!

  • What a great comment!

  • To be honest-one of the best from your videos. Visually amazing. And musically also on the very high level. Thank you Ernst

  • Thanks for your tasteful judgement!

  • Thank you Ernst - one of your best both musically and visually.

  • Thanks! (although numquam perfectum, I'll try to have it a little better every time)

  • omg!!! one of my top ten favorite films of all time is 'tous les matins du monde' about sainte colombe.... thank you thank you thank you!!!!

  • That is really a very special film.

  • I was about to say the same. also

    Guillaume Depardieu RIP

  • indeed -- he was so strikingly gorgeous...

  • OMG This is soo beautiful!!!

  • Thanks!

  • This is incredibly beautiful, both the music (a favorite of mine) and the paintings. Wonderful video! A lot of work and thought went into this. Thank you, Ernst! Kathy

  • Thanks Kathy, it sure took some time to get it together, but I had some time available today.

  • wonderful music, well done!

but, the music in the first painting is a real music (i guess): do you can play it?

  • Certo Aldo, it sure looks like gamba music, even the fingerings are readable!
