@FreeStyle431 if you look at it a couple of times you really can see that it's a slide, that is definitely not just turning, you can see that he's turning to the right allot.. if he was making a turn he wouldn't do that, counter steering is barely detectable, this in the video was definitely a slide. Look at Supermoto bikes you'll see it's the same.

@mouseydavey No it is the M1. Nothing like the R1. Completely different engine, carbon brakes, lots of one off parts. Moto GP bikes are nothing like the ones in the dealerships unlike World Superbike, or AMA which start out as a bike from the factory just like you can buy and they tune them according to race spec. Moto GP bikes are pretty much one off bikes.

Ya 1:33 is drift, Normally done by going on front brakes slightly and giving it some gas which creates the controlled drift. You normally do it to turn the bike into the turn more for example late braking.

You will find that it is a combination of the firing order, the ECU controlling power to the rear wheel which cuts the firing of cylinders to retard the power output. This can be achieved by wheel speed sensors, wheelie control, etc.

@buramabull Not reeeally...op3I has the right idea. He (Rossi) was doing it basically for show (it's a promo vid don't forget!) and would've had to of stomped on the rear brake to make it happen as the bike has a slipper clutch designed to negate any slip. It's actually slower going into a corner if you think about it because the bike is sliding and losing traction.

ilya2222,your bike may have more torque etc.but I,d still bet on a Blade or R1, especially on the road.They put the power down easier. On that note,remind where Kawasaki(Hayate) finished this year in MotoGP,WSB,WSS,BSB etc...... Outright power is not everything...,as for looks...it's meant to be ridden,not kept in your front room.

Kawasaki may not do all that well in SBK, but its now all machine, but rider, team, and performance.

For the street, the 07 and older R1's are great, as that's what they were built for.

you don't have to take my word on performance, go research it yourself.

And while big numbers may not be everything, I still expect improvement with the newest models
