well, what else did you expect when they told you they where going to install a cheap plastic cover over your existing tub and walls. Plastic or "acrylic" as bath fitter calls prevents the walls from breathing and moisture from evaporating, thus creating a perfect environment for mold to grow behind your walls, "Dark and Damp" mold's heaven!
this is just another toxic mold job by bathfitter. The tub insert is worse then this,it starts to mold within a few days after it's installed. There are now class action lawsuits forming against bathfitter due to the toxic mold spores caused by these liners.
