I "love" Casio; am an EX S770 user for some years, but have now upgraded to the EX-S12.
I rejected this camera choice because it is:
in high speed mode, the image size is of very small display size. HOW OFTEN do you really need super slo-mo? Some will need or want this. But it won't do "high definition", which the E-12 WILL do (but not the quality of a dedicated "HD" camcorder. E-12 may be a practical winner, for the average user. There are so many models and brands to choose from....
In its favor, E12, uses old-school "motion jpeg avi", and records in its optional "HD" mode, 24fps, not 15. It is EASY to edit in WMM and is EASY to upload the file to YT---to not compress in WMM, use "best quality for this computer. Am just beginning to learn the E12's good and weak points. More demos of the E12 will come to this account of mine. Have a Canon HV30: now there is a delicate, 'large' but superior kind of "HD". But it's not inexpensive, and not shock resistant...more later?
that Dino is korrekt........ U want HD vid, go 4 a camKo ......... the fc.100 is a sLoMo tool/toy 2 appreciate what your eyes R not kwik enough 2 pik upp on.... U get the ReaL picture !!
I might buy this camera but are the pictures still beautiful when you take 30 frames per second? Because I can't imagine that! And does it work on batteries? And which one?
as far as I know you can record 18 mins straight in HD
that is on the one hand due to the FAT32 limitations, not allowing files to be over 4GB in size
and on the other hand because the cam doesn't record videos using H.264, but MJPEG instead, hence video files will reach the limit of 4GB after approximately 18 mins
Oh well.. Do you have this camera? If you do; could you tell me something about the batteries? Does it have a rechargeable one, or do you need to put in your own batteries. And how long will they last? Thx in advance :)

I purchased this camera 2 weeks ago and it is good. I bought this camera because of its slow motion function.
PROS: slow motion fucntion is great
CONS: slow motion function works in only good lighting especially during day.
Photo quality is reasonable NOT excellent

u dont buy this cam to make a hd video, in my opinion. its only for fun to make small videos. if u want to make long hd videos buy a real cam corder

Are the Videos in HD in 16:9 format ???
DrSpider1984 2 years ago
Yes they are, but the high speed 210 are in 480x360 and 1000fps are like 32x16 xD
But still a great camera.
1280x720 is available in 30fps, which i love.

thx for the info

whats the point of 1000 fps when its 32x16, LOL!?
aapinator 2 years ago
exactly, thats what i meant to say.
I think its like a tricky bait that casio is making that people actually think its gonna take Slow mo in all same resolutions xD

aapinator 2 years ago
well thats the best thing about the camera if u wanna have a compact that lasts long.
The CIPA standard says 400 shots on one battery ; )
tezzofino 2 years ago
So that's like.. 150 seconds for a video...? :O (400 frames divided by 30 fps)
aapinator 2 years ago
you divided by 3 here... at 400fps one second will be 15sec long
experimentboy 2 years ago
is more than that... is about 224x54, not really big too...
NapalmCandy 2 years ago
i know :-) I have the cam, check out my quality video- there's a shot of the 1000fps feature at the very end
