Far as I'm concerned, there is not now, nor will there ever be another Roy Buchanan. His inspired calmness, effortless precision and his abiity to walk a higher path spiritually which was expressed through his guitar and stage presence. I don't think Roy realized how he inspired a generation of players (including myself). Truly from a bygone era, I often fhink that Roy gave so much of himself in each note that he left a part of himself in each of us. Rest in peace Roy...
@1954tele Wow how true im only 18 and Roy's music was way before my time yet when i heard him play for the first time which was roys blues at my uncles, i fell in love with tha song and now have an obsession about it, each time im on here i always have to listen to it, its just one of those songs that each time i hear it, each and every single time it does not fail to send goosebumps up my spine.
Wow...thumbs down??? Can't be another guitar player.... gotta be trolls. I mean, just out of mutual respect.... Roy is just one of those truly unique players. Never seemed interested in playing " standard every day" riffs. LOVED the guy for that!! Great post. Thumbs UP from me friend. ~KK
