Hey man, please help me. I`m having a major problem with the videos, because I have a lot of videos that I want to play in my Go gear cam but they don`t work at all because of the format problem, so can you please send me or post a link for a proper video converter so that I can watch all those videos in my go gear cam
@Fastbub I'll look up the exact specs and get you a definite answer for the Go-Gear. In the meantime, there are a number of decent converters such as MPEG Streamclip, SuperC or the Miro Video Converter being the easiest. These are safe, non-spammy alternatives to the usual converter crap. I'll get the info to you later this afternoon.
@Fastbub At the PC4Phillips web site look for link with your model number & d/l using Philips Songbird. by clicking Software & Drivers. There is also a Philips Media Converter on the site. Using an outside conversion program try the video format as an mp4 or avi 640x480, 30fps and about 237kbps. Let me know if anything of this works or not. Good luck.
@kratoslink22 If you want this as your day to day carry camcorder yes, it is a good idea but not for your main camcorder. The photos are 640x480 so they are acceptable for web viewer or small photos. The video is standard definition. Outdoor video is fine but it is not good for indoors without a lot of light. It is hard to keep it steady so keep that in mind. If you can buy it at a reasonable price yes, buy it.
@Cogixs It is ok, certainly Mono but it is not bad if you are close enough to your subject. I use it as a back-up video recorder. Not too worried about the sound. It is functional and I can live with the limitations.
