You will aquire add. MS by completing achievments with your CAF. You will find a complete list for each MS if you google "Def Jam Fight for NY additional Milestones". To put it in a nutshell, you need approx. 750 - 1000 fights for each fighter to gain all. MS. I myself only posses two characters who already have all add. MS. (Chakata, Lunatic)
I agree, you gain lots of Blaze energy. But your inflicted damage is very low. In my opinion, it's imperative to perfrom a grapple (hard grapple if able) after a successful counter to inflict high damage. The only exception are CAFs who can perform a haymayker after a successful counter (only Rick, Stich and Patrick).
Is that game even coming out, i haven't heard any news on that game in a long time. If it's anything like "ICON" i hope it doesn't see the light of day. It would be great for them, to just release an improvement of FFNY with online play, new story, fighters, same fighting engine, additional fighting styles. It's not rocket science....
SF,KB+MA (Rick). 2nd best fighter. Especially powerful since he can perform "hollabacks"
KB,WR+SF (Sewers) Sorry to crack wise but you're giving some wrong advice in my opinion.
- his hard punches will KO opponents since he's able to perform haymakers. There is absolutely no exeption to this rule.
- he will always perform 4 attack combos. Since he's capable of KB and SF, Combos initilazed with either punches or kicks will last 4 attacks. Even WR,KB+SF has this ability.
- Almost any CAF with WR+KB can chain clinches to hard wrestling moves. That's nothing rare at all. Even WR,KB+SM will lose the submission capability during hard grapples and performs clich+wrestling instead. Only KB,SM+WR and SM,KB+WR will lose the ability to perform wrestling moves from hard grapples and perform submission instead.
Please understand, that I'm just creating new vids to answer these questions. For a first quick analysis you can either check my CAF-Evaluations or watch both charakter guides. Since I've posted so many vids, I have to answer almost any question 10 or more times and I just hate to give short answers to serious questions. I think you can relay that this results in much tipping I like to avert.
PS. I answered your question here: DJffNY Charakter Evaluation #1-10
You should have seen how much I did with Diablo II.
If anybody took the time to create a great game I consider it my duty as responsible PC addict to analyze each and every sigle detail there is in the game. Just my kind of tribute.
As you can see I added a list of moves for my latest vid ("DJffNY Charakter Guide WR,MA+SM (Absinth)").
I intend to do that for all vids I'm going to re-post. Please take a look at this list and tell me if you're content with the way I did it. If you're missing certain attacks or like some chances to be made please post it to my latest vid and I'm going to modify my further uploads accordingly.
I have a question myself. Would you liike a list of moves and grapples at the end of each vid. I figured that it is kind of hard to learn all submission-moves, kicks, ... by heart.
It's delightful to see you're STILL showcasing this great game fun-factor, and amazing replay-ability. I don't think anybody represent this game like you do, on such a high scale. I love the commentary, just give these videos the boost, that makes it feel theatrical. I look forward for more exciting videos, keep up the great work. The developers of this game should be proud.
In terms of further assisting the beginners, i'd highlight each fighter signature moves or go-to moves. For example, for submission experts, i would highlight each fighter effective submissions, some fighter only have one. Rather than doing the other 4 useless submissions. Like your fighter "Ehy" he only has the "flying armbar." (his only arm submit)
I've posted a long answer about that question on my channel. Long story short, my recording system is broken and I haven't enough footage for Snider and some other CAFs.
Since so many ppl already asked about the CAF-Evaluation 21-30. I could post a vid but I have to skip certain fighters like Snider, Carlos since I missed to get footage while my recording system still worked. I can offer to create this vid and only add the titles of both charas (rank, stats, styles) but there will be no fighting for these guys.
Sorry JEY but these guides are intended for advanced players. I had to cut many descriptions to fit the time requirement. But I'm considering making a beginners guide to answer questions like yours. (eg. How does a fighting style change my chara, how do I aquirre add. Milestones, ...)
Since these guides are a lot of work I have to apologies since this guide is sheduled for next year at best.
The commentary is a really nice touch to these fight videos. Can't wait to see a CAF vs CAF vid with commentary
A fighter's wallrun is so different in a ring(like in Club 357 for example). Have you recognized a pattern of what type of wallrun a fighter might get or is it sort of random?
Though question. Yes, there is a pattern but there are so many exceptions. First of all all 4 Wallruns arehierarchically sorted. You aquire the best wallrun, the one that is able to KO lying opponents if you've picked MA as your first fighting style. (Let's give them names for easier explanation, ergo let's call it "Flying Guillotine". The next one is the attack i like to call "Flying Frontkick".
Your chara will simply jump towards your opponent and perform a direct, one-legged kick. Any chara that has picked MA as second or third style and is not able to perfrom SM or WR will perform this wallrun. (I'm not totally sure but I think there are no exceptions.) After that, there's the "Flying Bodyroll". This one is extremly rare. Only Upgrayeed (WR,MA+SF) is able to perform this Wallrun. Some charas will perfom it when perfroming a Wallrun while using ropes but it remains the exception.
The last and least Wallrun is the "Flying Bodydrop". Your chara will perfom this Wallrun if you picked WR or SM in combination with MA. Wallruns in rings are normally just downgraded one level. (eg a chara that normally has the "Flying Guilliotine" will now perform the "Flying Frontkick). But as I already stated, there are more excpetions than any recognisable pattern. In short, you may try it to know for sure. I know that's a lame advice but it really comes down to this.
