A few pointers from a teacher in Jackson:
1. Never let a student disrespect you without punishment. Draw this line now.
2. Have the objectives of your entire year planned before you start.
3. USE YOUR CELL PHONE TO CONTACT PARENTS (Or if you really want to get bad students, visit their house).
4. Have the cell numbers of your assistant principals so you can call them from the classroom if a student is acting up. (The effect is better and students will shut up when an angry a.p. shows up)
