  • I think Tom Hooper's direction needs to be mentioned here. You can thank his vision for how stunning this is.

  • David McCullough...again a classic history writer...and this cast is very very good....I don't have HBO but love American History...and am enjoying U Tube..hats off to JAA..

  • Historically accurate detail makes for compelling viewing. Giamatti and Linney are briliant. Giamatti seems so much like this decade's Tom Hulce: he's an actor of great passion and intensity that can in a moment melt into a soft tenderness and then harden into true resolve and grit--all within seconds. Few actors can match this flexibility and feeling.

  • Paul Giamatti is Excellent as always!

  • Very excited to see this! We were at Colonial Williamsburg while they were filming some portions -- very fun to see -- you couldn't believe how tattered the extras were!

  • I'm so excited for this!!

  • 1:34 through 1:35, im the one holding that huge flag, :P

to bad they didnt pay us that much for standing around for 14 hours

  • Good job!!

  • Should be the best HBO product since "Band of Brothers"--maybe even more important, too.

  • Awesome.
