  • for people who would like to know the pinyin----

    hakuna matata

    jiu4 shi4 hen3 you3 yi4si1 (means very interesting or meaningful)

    hakuna matata

    jian3 dan1 you4 hao3 ting1 (simple and pleasant to hear)

    cong2 xian4 zai4 kai1 shi3 (from now on)

ni3 bu4 bi4 zai4 dan1 xin1(you don't need to worry anymore.for "不bu4" in this sentence, actually the single character is usually pronounced as 4th tone, but in oral communication when people say "bu2 bi4" together it means not necessary). til 0:16.

  • hakuna matata??????lol love tht part

  • To all of us that speak English, this is undoubtedly the funniest thing in the world. No offence Asia, i'm sure the British, I don't know, Pokemon sounds just as hilarious to you.

  • @johandu34

same im language so hard hhhhhhh

  • They did a really nice job of translating the main concept of this song!

I love how that they did not just translate it word for word because it wouldn't have had the same meaning in Mandarin! This is a much more culturally acceptable version that gets the idea across!

  • sounds good in every language :D

  • :23 he sounds like cartman

  • i love that i can go to China and "hakuna matata" means the same thing as in California :)

I'm learning Chinese, and it's my favorite class right now. Now I get to combine my favorite song with my favorite class ^_^

  • its funny

  • just started learning the language. Amazing how much sticks already

  • i wish i could learn chinese quicker, so i can understand these songs sooner :P

  • And yet, better version of the Polish is Chinese-Mandarin! The sides of the break. Best language :D

  • I dont even speak chinese...

  • could someone post the pinyin please xiexie

  • "sounds weird, but cute"- cracked me up before I even started watching. But it's sooo true!!

  • In all fairness, it does sound retarded.

  • @DisturbedAidan2 so did the original :P me and my friends all loved it as kids still.

  • you know, being a chinese myself, this turned out a lot better than i thought it would.

  • Cooler Song!

  • baby simba has the cutest voice in chinese!!!! *

  • I dont care about the language

    2:52 - 3:02 most epic stuff ever

  • Watching this brings a thought to mind: Do puns in english translate very well into other languages(in this case Mandarin)?

  • @traeus Not really haha sometimes it works but word puns that are based on the language don't work. But like the Pumba/Timon "Not in front of the kids" joke still works.

  • 0:23 made me laugh so hard

  • LOLz

  • Wierd

  • Chinese <3

  • Shit.. Child memories rushing to my head lol.

  • u know what's so sad? Watching this made me realized how much I've forgotten of my native tongue. Back in Taiwan we bought the Mandarin dub release and I understood every word. Now I'm needing subtitles to understand the gist of the lyrics, though i still pick up a few words. Not to mention, I used to be able to speak mandarin. lol and to think my dad was disappointed we bought the mandarin dub and not the original english, cuz thats what he wanted us to learn.

  • @Joshorty I'm working hard not to forget my English. o_O;

  • Hmm... all the "hukuna matatas" at the end are from the English version...

  • @theovermindliveth Either that or they did a REALLY good job imitating them.

  • Chinese is a big group of language. Various chinese dialects include Hakka, Hokkien and Cantonese, and more.

  • Oh my God I cant understand a WORD but its good XD same voices!

  • <3

  • this is awesome i should have showed my chinese class this year! :)

  • so cute!!! zhe shi hen you yisi!!! =D

  • Lmao,to everyone it sounds weird but to me it sounds normal :/ any other version sounds weird to me

  • I like how they just stuck with the original vocals for the very end...

  • very interesting.

  • haha ..in chinese it sound so funny XD

keiner nimmt uns diiiiie philosophiiiiiie ..hakuna matata :DD

  • haha ..in chinese it sounds so funny XDD

  • 加油!

  • they made eating bugs look... delicious...

  • 太可爱了!我估计这是所有语言里面最棒的一版了!真没想到中文在迪斯尼里能够这么出彩。

  • Lol xD

  • @Kiyoryuu I think your language is awesome! I'm studying cause I plan on going to Hong Kong maybe, it actually sounds pretty cool

  • @GamingGuruAce They speak Cantonese, not Mandarin in HK

  • @danehoy but cantonese is hard ;3

  • @Kiyoryuu fuck

  • @Kiyoryuu

    I like Cantonese version :D

  • Omg it sounds so funny and cute XD

  • You no Hbuna Mbtata!

    You HAkuna MAtatta!

    Study more!

  • mei you!

  • Hakuna Matata is not 很有意思 (Very Interesting), it's more like 无忧无虑 (No Worries)... Chinese version still rhymes but doesn't make sense. Translator should get fired for ruining this song!

  • @Kinkabyou Hakuna matata的 裡說的 很有意思 是代表Hakuna matata的意義(就是 沒有煩惱憂慮)

    彭彭也說Hakuna matata簡單也很好記

    在這影片之前 彭彭也有說Hakuna matata 是不必擔心

  • Awesomer song!

  • well i know what they were saying since i have only heard the english BUT WTF IT IS RUINED NOW OMG AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • @2quimby Let me get this straight... Chinese people don't have the right to watch this in their OWN language?

  • @ToonWatcher3000 they do but it really sounds like it doesnt belong

  • Cooler Song!

  • WTF ???

  • the last part they just left the same as the original

  • @2quimby Are you freaking stupid? Hakuna Matata is a Swahili phrase so quit complaining about it being ruined just because they had this song in another language.

  • It's astounding how they found such similar voices for the movie in most of the different languages.

  • Why is this in Chinese may i ask? I h=guess its good for ppl who want to know Mandrin. But its goo anyway!!!! xie xie! ^_~

  • Lol

  • lmao!!!!!!!!this is the funniest thing i´ve ever seen hahahahahahaha!!!!

  • how can you sing in mandarin, if there is tone variation in the language : that is contradictory with the melody???

  • @lutshow When you sing you don't mind the tones at all. You just sing the syllables acc. to the melody. You can usually tell from context which exact word they're using though.

  • @lutshow @86Rive18

I like listening to singers who are talented enough to sing with tones, alas, many aren't. It is really difficult, so you end up with people sounding tone deaf :S

  • it look like a commercial....

  • “Hakuna Matata, 这是很有意思~

    Hakuna Matata, 简单容易记~

    从现在开始,没有烦恼犹豫

    不必像从前,听天由命,Hakuna Matata!“

  • simba's sound is so cute!

  • wtf xD xD xD xD lachflash

  • xDDDDD

  • lol chinese

  • lol chinese

  • lol chinesese

  • wha chong chen chan chan hakuna matata whei whu whan chan peng peng

  • @Shantimors

  • @elpianista19 Wrong characters, LoL.

    You said "write write" xD

    I'm pretty sure you meant

    "謝謝" 还是 "谢谢"

  • its funny how all the europeans and americans search this up

  • 'Hakuna Matata' are the only words I dont understand ..

  • Cooler Song!

  • tjing tjong tjeng

  • hat was ^^

  • I cracked up when I saw this, especially since I think Simba is played by a girl (nemo in the dubbed Chinese version is too). The thing they say that's supposed to be "what a wonderful phrase" translates to "this is very interesting".

  • hahahaha its sounds so funny in Chinese

  • sounds cute

  • which accent is this? Beijing?

  • @highflyer It is standard Mandarin, the dubbers come from Taiwan.

  • @198559414 standard mandarin? I thought beijing accent IS the standard spoken dialect. I may be wrong. I'm trying to learn my local dialect, that's why I wanted to know.

  • @highflyer You are not wrong. Mandarin is base on Beijing dialect. But it is quite easy for Chinese people to tell whether a person comes from Beijing or anywhere else based on his accent. What I mean "standard" is that it is so standard, so good, so "formal" that it is no way to let we know where he comes from. For example, announcers on TV or on radio.

  • @198559414 I see. I don't know about mandarin, but for english, and most other languages I speak, the standard dialect is usually the region in which the dialect seems to be the most non-accented version of the language in that country. BBC uses the queen's english, CNN uses what seems to be somewhat midwestern. Thanks for the help, but I'm trying to learn the malaysian mandarin accent, and I need to be able to distinguish between northern mandarin dialect and their southern counterpart.

  • @highflyer Taiwan!

  • It seems like it would be hard to sing in Chinese and preserve the tones and the melody of the song.. can a Chinese speaker tell me a bit more about this? I'm just curious! :)

  • @toomanydietcokes Interesting question. it seems that you are learning Chinese now? Yes, there seems no tones in singing and the way we pronounce is determined by the melody.

  • @198559414 I'm not actively learning Chinese now, but I tried to a few years back (it's hard to find good free lessons online though!), so I know some basic things about the language & I still think it's interesting. Thanks for the info! :)

  • 你们好好听啊!

  • omg 1:15 is like the only word i understand when he says "ah, debuchi" it means "ah, sorry" lol yay..(after watching a chinese drama thats the only word i remember XD)

  • xDDDDDDD

  • Love it! Back from first visit to Tanzania/Kenya in 44 years. Had bush upbringing in Tanganyika in 50's & 60's. Animals were "enchanted", spoke. Lion King takes me back to that magical childhood, of which I wrote & published in "Speak Swahili, Dammit!" (short video this site). I saw changes- almost no snow on Kilimanjaro, pollution in Lake Victoria, grinding poverty of many, deforestation (see videos same site). Can the magic animals survive? See on wordpress - The Adventures of Jimu Boy

  • i think it sounds cool!^^

  • I think some people had a bat who will get more punchs. Then one of them wrote the Chinese.

  • LOL xD

  • Does anyone have Pinyin lyrics to this?

  • omg

  • Chinese sounds so strange ;D I'm so not use to it.

  • @Mimibie thats because you don't understand it

  • @fourzones Obviously, and it's the first time I heard that song in that language when I'm use to hearing it in French and English. Any translated song can sound strange at first. I hope you didn't think i was saying anything bad about it...

  • mdr

  • xaxaaxaxaaxxa

  • fa creapereeeeeeeee nella versione chinese!!! ahahhahahahahahahahahahahah
