You need to understand that DH and the "Wolves" are an INSTITUTION now,,,and as such they are NOT held to the performance standards of a current entertainment enterprise. To hear them now,,,with whatever they have left,,,,is to have a privileged window into musical entertainment history. Los Lobos are a talented and groundbreaking band. Nobody can diminish their accomplishments. However I've lost all interest in seeing them perform live because as any objective person can hear, David Hidalgo has lost his voice. It's a shame because it used to be one of the smoothest voices around.

They would not be human if their live performances were sterile and flawless.. You would forget the words too, if you had written as much material as these guys have..

Hmm, well they may have been really good at one time but I saw them recently and I con confidently say they were the worst I have ever seen. two time they interupted their song because the lead singer forgot the lyrics and a roadie had to come out with sheet music and a stand! The blasters came out and saved their butts. So I will stand by my statement "They SUCK!

No, the a holes are the band that showed up to a gig not having their shit together and let down everybody that showed up and spent good money with high hopes of seeing Los Lobos rock the joint. but hanks for your insightful comment beat master now i have a pretty good idea what you beat!!!
