  • A HA the music makes you think that the maid is going to find a dead body and scream! LOVE IT!

  • I have always wondered, how does Ms. Marple have all that money to eat in good hotels and in restaurants, travel and take tacis versus the bus. Also, how does she maintain her house. Anyone knows?

  • @calihartley2010 Her nephew paid for the 2 weeks at Bertram's

  • @johnster1964 Oh yeah I figured that out later. Thanks. I still wonder how she has money to maintain her house without working.

  • @calihartley2010 -- Miss Marple seems to have been a long-term acquaintance of many members of the aristocracy or upper middle class -- e.g., Lady Selina and Dolly Bantry -- so she probably came from a prosperous family, so she probably had a significant inheritance, which, if managed well, would provide a competence. She also trains maids (e.g., Gladys Martin in "A Pocket Full of Rye"), which might provide some income.

  • @KevinByrne2 Oh i did know that she trained maids. But I do not think having friends in high places would make her rich, or that they would give her money.

  • This version follows the book. The 2007 version does not. It's not even close. This 1986 version is far superior both in acting and following the story line.

  • One of the classics. Joan Hickson will never be equalled.

  • thank you!!!

  • YEAH!!!!!!
