I'm learning this on the piano at the moment, only the simplified version, but I hope I can learn the more complex version later on. I'm only about half way memorized, but my mom (who also plays) says I sound good.
I love the Hating-Gabi musical piece. I used to play this piece about 40 years ago. I remember my violin tutor who taught me and it brings back memories. I am inspired to play my violin again, with a little help from my daughter who is also violinist and a pianist, I'll try.
You're right that Vocalise is on this video. If you keep watching though, you'll find that Hatinggabi is actually in the second half of this video clip. =)
Roitrawon, you are right, but the second one after it is. I thought so too myself.. Altho I love the first one one too.. But her rendition of hatingabi is better than the first... (at least I think so)
The only place I can think of is the National Archives in the Philippines located at TM Kalaw, Manila. But I'll see if my cousins still have the original. Maybe they can send me a copy. As soon as I get it, I'll let you know. By the way, Hatinggabi was originally written by Antonio Molina for 6 string guitar.
You have rendered it well. I am the grandson of Antonio Molina. My mother is his daughter. Hatiggabi was originally composed for violin when my grandfather was 17 years old to serenade the girls. I hope you can also play another composition of his- Ilang-Ilang.
Thank you Turtle Yoga for posting this music. Thanks also to the violinist!
I really love it, it touches the soul.

Bakit pa-inglis ang pahayag niya samantalang lahat ng nasa bulwagan ay mga Pinoy at ang itinatanyag ay kultura ng Pilipinas?

May I request you to play Dalagang Pilipina by Jose Santos. The original music was written for violin.

Thanks for the comment! Do you know where I can get the sheet music to Dalagang Pilipina? I'd love to give it a try.
