I remember when this was parked and restored at Camarillo airport in CA... Used to fly over it all the time. What a piece of history... Keep it flying!
According to experts on the Constellation, that is not "exhaust fire" that is from the turbos in the engines that we're engaged during take off and landing for better performance. The fire coming out of the engines was common and not a sign for concern. This planes turbo was still engaged on engine four as it made it's way to taxi.
