My friends have never behaved like that. When my friend's brother tried to pull a stunt like this he got kicked out of the house for half an hour. And I certainly never behaved like that. People have to respect each other no matter the age. And kids can lose respect for adults very quickly. Throwing a fit does not make you a brat.

I understand it can hurt well-behaved, respectful youngsters when we who are older than you say that your generation is spoiled rotten but the problem is that you're only a few good apples in a sack of rotten ones.

After all I don't agree with belting a kid for throwing a fit in a blue moon when they are cranky or bored or hungry. A good parent would know when it's okay to punish their kid or not. Like if he wasn't hurting her she shouldn't throw him on the ground or beat him in harmful areas. Just make him take a nap and make him stay in his room and come out later to apologize would work.
