  • damn what language are you speaking there chef johnny...... cause i cant understand a word your saying.. maybe sub-titles would help

  • The perfect steak? Are you serious?

"...a rare sirloin would come off now.", he says after cremating it! ¬.¬

If this guy is claiming to be a professional chef he should be well done himself, for fraud!

  • Why is he teaching how to make a well done steak? That's not a steak, it's an abomination.

  • This guy is shit for sooo many reasons! No way is he a professional chef!

  • yes what a waste of good meat!!!!!!!! I found out that he is the cleaner/dishwasher boy there in the kitchen and they shot the video after the shop is closed!

  • these steaks look delicious. its always amazed me that some people think that although every other meat is better cooked (except some fish) steak is somehow different. how about a rare roast? of course not...

  • Fast food.

  • Very funny guy... No, really, how do you actually cook a real steak?

  • And this is your well done...well that's more medium well but... lol

  • this is how mad cow disease started

  • o here the first steak he cut was still raw

  • @rossakings Rare = Raw in the centre. Properly cooked steaks that are rare only have the surface seared. Everything else can be blood red.

  • every real chef knows you dont keep turning a steak

  • I lol'ed.

  • That's not how Hank Hill cooks his steak.

  • 3:12 Oh my god, i bet that shit is still cold in the middle

  • Ooh, the perfect steak, smother the bitch in salt and squish the fuck out of it.

  • YOU LICKED YOUR BLOODY FINGER !!!!!! U ARE A PIG

  • Well I know where I'm never ordering a steak.

  • that is not how you cook a perfect steak!

  • If anyone wants to know how to really cook the perfect steak, do the exact opposite.

  • I'll take a couple of those!!

  • Hank Hill would ask you nicely, yet firmly, to leave your kitchen.

  • @TheFappingGuys lolololol dude i was just about to comment the same thing

  • I didn't think the video was *too* awful until he started pressing all the juices out of the last steak. What the hell was that?

Salt seasoning, I'm down. Pan searing, cool. Everything after that was just wrong. If your pan is hot enough to sear its way too hot for butter. If you turn steaks that often it will cook through faster but you won't get a good crust, which defeats the purpose of searing.

But squeezing the juice out? WTF?

  • "How to cook the perfect steak"

    Cooks it in a pan...

  • Dude this is a demo of how not to cook steaks. Atrocious.

  • Remind me not to eat at his restaurant.

  • LOL! What the hell was that?

  • I cooked a steak just like this once. But to be fair, I was drunk as shit, on pills, and in the middle of parking lot outside of a concert.

  • Looks like I know where I am not eating when I goto england.

  • w-w-what did i just watch what am i need a HHHHNNNNNNGGGG

  • Oh god, what the sh*t have you done to that steak? I-I need to need lie down.

  • flip once. FAIL.

  • How to cook the perfect steak.

    You will need:

    A steak

    A Grill

    A fork

    Some salt

  • I use a little lemon and red wine...it's amazing!

  • how come he turn it around a frequently? that would make steaks tougher !!

  • He si fucking killing the steak by pressing it!!!!

  • No wonder there are no great irish cooks.

  • @wisertime2000 This guy isn't Irish though.

  • even the medium rare n medium was raw.....ppl please eat ur steak well done..worried about flavour? well dan just season d steak properly

  • @natureloverdude why eat it well done? (not a cook don't expect me to know everything)

  • @natureloverdude Why should I eat my steak well done? Because you tell me to?

  • Comment removed

  • 3:09 that is rare, thats horrible, never knew there r people who eat steak like this....thats just horrible....no wonder people suffer from heart disease, cancer etc.

    horrible :(

  • Righto, Put about 4 tablespoons of salt on to draw out all the juices. Then boil the steaks in butter to toughen them up and continue to turn them about 1000 times. Last of all break the sealed surface and squash out any remaining tenderness. Whalla!! Burnt to a crisp on the outside, raw in the middle and rubbery as old boots. Sirlion aint cheap, I just want to choke this guy!

  • @floydzepdeep Flipping the steaks a lot doesn't dry them out, contrary to popular opinion, and the butter adds good flavor. I'm with you about the squashing, but they look pretty tasty to me!

  • @floydzepdeep I couldn't have said it better myself:D

  • in soviet rusiia, steak cooks you

  • i'd still eat em

  • hahaha... wtf... my stupid roommate cookes better :) .. and it tastes like SHIT!!!!

  • what kind of pan is that

  • This guy seems to do everything against what i've read..

    1) I always thought you should NOT play with the steak after you've put it in the pan

    2) You dont press the steak as that's where all the juiced are and you'd push them out and dry out the meat.

i'm not an expert by any means btw

  • Look like he added to much salt, I would cook my steak totaly opposite how he cooked it. Where is the sautee mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers? I would also make a sweet potatoe puree. I would also add Jack Daniels or some Brandy Lique'r to my steak.

  • Prefer my steak WELL DONE. Why some people eat there steak's medium rare, isnt there some air bourne bacteria issues cooking your steak medium rare? It says on food packages to cook your food throughly. Why do people eat there eggs over easy, it says on the egg carton's too cook eggs throughly to cook the bacteria out. Eh medium rare Bloody, Eh eggs over easy Slimy bacteria. I apologize if I offended anyone who eats there food that way, Can someone please explain this to me

  • The perfect way to cook a steak is however you personally find it to be most delicious. That being said, nearly every chef would disagree with these methods.

  • never take cooking advice from a welsh men.

  • @fourpointohh What have Welsh men got to do with anything? The guy in the video is English...

  • @Bungle2010 idk im dumb lol

  • Your'e NOT suppose to flip the steake more than once !

  • That was terrible and is not how one shoud cook steak.

I would not have Chef Jonny Gilmore working in McDonalds.

  • Good video.

  • I hve to agree with spamweary! You did break everything I've been taught in the last 6 months, that the Cooking channel and Food Network teach by 8 out of 10 chefs!

  • I hve to agree with spamweary! You did break everything that the Cooking channel and Food Network teach by 8 out of 10 chefs!

  • steaks look dry to start out with

  • under cooked

  • لم يتم طهيه بشكل جيد ، أيضا لو استعمل الخل أثناء التتبيل .

Is not thoroughly cooked, also if it is used during the vinegar seasoning.

  • @asda172 لحم مشوی

  • remind me not to eat there..

  • wtf?! how does he gets to be a chef??

  • he didnt cut the loin to prevent the steak from shrinking

  • Is this a joke? Too much salt, pressing juices out is wrong, too much flipping. I've seen the butter thing done before but have to be careful if your pan is too hot it can burn it.

  • This is crap, this video is from the UK what do you expect?

  • @Manuelc33 lool uk has some of the best cooks in the world you chat shit...americans dont have world american born cooks. europe is filled with them

  • @MrSportNStuff2

So europe is full of american born cooks? Is that why your saying your food is good?

I went to Amsterdam last November and I have to tell you it was some of the most

bland food I have ever had the displeasure of consuming... Except for the Magic Brownies

I dont know what the magic ingredient is but let me tell you after eating 3 I was swimming

    in a canal!

  • @Manuelc33 europe has more famous cooks than american...the top american based chefs are european born who just moved to the us...it was a reply to someone saying uk chefs are no good.

  • @Manuelc33 Space-brownies XD Holland is weird.. I live there

  • @Manuelc33 LMFAO. Exactly.

  • Finally some one on YT who actually knows how to pan fry a decent steak. Apparently most of you cooking genius's have NEVER actually worked in a professional kitchen.

  • Finally some one on YT who actually knows how to pan fry a decent steak. Apparently most of you cooking genius's have NEVER actually worked in a professional kitchen.

  • i say grilled is better my secret recipe try this soak the meat in lemon and beer juice the lemon and beer mixed together u can try any beer u like and after that u put on carne asada powder am pretty sure those are every where if not go find a mexican store when u grill the meat have ur mixed juice of beer and lemon and pour every time u flip it. this recipe is traditional that goes over 135 years in my family

  • the best steak is cooked over coals, not in a pan!

i'm not a chef by any means, and even i know you're not supposed to press on the meat!!!

  • Yes he doesn't know shit about cooking steak

  • I am a part time Chef and don't understand the pressing of the last steak, to make juices go out? Too much flipping of all the steaks as well. I could not tell the difference of the first two steaks at all. This guy is no Chef and killing the meat. The butter idea I might have to try, but a steak is not a steak in a pan, has to be GRILLED :)

  • @buminbeer2 LOL, it has to be grilled, obviously you haven't tried it and if you have tasted a steak cooked in the pan and you didn't like it, then it's obvious it was the cook himself that messed it up. A steak doesn't have to be grilled in order for it to taste good.

  • that first one was raw...

  • Garbage

  • not very impressed lol he flipped the steaks more like pancakes, got the wrong types of cooked meat and he looks like a muppet.................and yes eveyone noticed the raw cow maybe still alive

  • I think I saw the first stake crawling away hahaha!

  • i've worked in restaurants, and in my opinion this guy is flipping the steaks far too much, and causing them to try out by pressing on them with his tongs... just let them cook! you don't need to keep testing them all the time

  • too much turning in my opinion, turn it once and do it right the first time so you don't have to do it again, but the result looks nice anyhow.

  • Brilliant I must say! Cheers for adding butter idea. I love steaks, but the restaurant prices are ridiculous, however the meat prices are reasonable if you shop in Sam's Club wholesaler. Always tread frying steak, because the meat usually always seems to stick on the pan. I tried everything from lowering the heat, but this will make the oil evaporate and cause smoke to float around the kitchen. Using butter would prevent this from happening, fucking brilliant!

  • No offense man....I'm a wannabe chef......but that is the most butchered meat I have ever seen.....no pun intended.

  • This is why the UK will never be known for it's food.... This would be tough as nails.

Each cut has it's own "best method", but for this cut, try this...

/watch?v=m2bNZy4VdtU&feature=related finish in a 500% oven to finish to customers preference.

  • That's not rare, it's raw.

  • You might as well kill the cow and eat it right there

  • Thankz man. Im home alone And didint know what to cook. I tryed the Stake, and worked just fine! =D

  • Looks good, thanks Chef!!!

  • You obviously don't live in Canada that is on shitty cut of meat no marbling = FAIL

  • he keeps flipping them!

    the hell?

  • werd 4 flip max actually 3 putting it on doesn't count as a flip

  • Every rule I learned you broke. Terrible. I'm surprised you are allowed to cook. Truly shocking.

  • @spamweary what are the rules for cooking eggs?

  • @zederish You gotta press the crap out of them, lol

  • @spamweary this also broke every rule i was taught

  • Yeah...I'm sorry....don't mean to be a jerk.....but you butchered that meat. No pun intended. Firstly, salt never touches a steak.... EVER. Secondly, I might buy meat sliced that thin on sale at the grocery store but I would never serve it to customers or guests. Thirdly, pressing on steak and intentionally releasing the juices....that's just......satanic.

  • dam that steak got tongFUCKED

  • first one is raw

  • he is so british i want to punch myself in da face

  • yeah some, newbie in my culinary class on the grill was pressing down on a hamburger, my chef appeared outta fuckin no where and like bitch slapped the tongs outta the kids hands, looked at him and said "wtf... really?" he didnt say wat the fuck he said "W.T.F." lamo the actual letters.

  • hi dude,i know how to cook steak coz i m hibachi chef but your cooking is kind like newly chefs!!!

  • @BaPureTibetan i know right.

  • wtf was that waffle house or something dude dang!

  • People, RARE steak WILL differ from place to place, not every single place you go is going to make it look the exact same way, different places have different definitions/understandings of what RARE is, personally, id love to get at the rare steak in this video, its looks AMAZING, as for me, theres no other way to other then RARE, ok well id settle for medium rare but NOTHING MORE! anything more and u just loose TONS of Natural flavor. Try using some, Canadian Steak Seasoning, its ORGASMIC!

  • my steak recipe is salt pepper as usual lemon and soy sauce and for dressing carrots and the small little green tree i dont know the spelling of it my dish is so simple

  • I don't think it had enough salt on it.

  • hmmm i woulda personally called the 1st one alive the 2nd rare and the 3rd medium but thats just my opinion

  • only turn it once man hahaha dam i gotta post up my video on cookin steaks :) i learnt from MR RAMSAY :) has not faild me yet :)

  • sorry, but your medium was a rare too, and the well done was done, but not well done.

  • eh no... marinade in butter/little bbq sauce/salt/pepper for an hour. put it on a propane grill, high as it'll go, 4 minutes each side.

  • that would be the exact opposite of how I would cook a steak but he is a pom !

  • Great demonstration. Thank you so much for posting.

  • Nice video man .....Good info!

  • I never tell anyone how to cook a steak , its a personal choice. But typical chef, even his well done steak looks rare to me.

  • Comment removed

  • Maybe this guy would be better suited to cooking bigmacs?

  • GEEZ! Ya never press the juices out of meats!

You only seasoned one side AND put way too much salt on that one!

I'll tell ya, I'd NEVER eat there.

  • Augh!! Don't press it! That gives a false signal, and dries out the steak.

You get a false sense of security pressing it (assuming you want no pink). Not only does it dry out the steak, if you press out the juices, it still might be a little pink, and you won't know until the customer cuts into it (or until you cut into it, drying it out even more).

This applies to hamburgers too. Especially hamburgers.

  • @retmiles its the EXACT same with hamburger/cheeseburgers, but something tells me u already knew that xD

  • He's not pressing it...he's handfucking it.

  • @retmiles Thats what she said.. : /

  • Gordon Ramsay would throw it to his face

  • OMG, this guy is a joke...! Lol, he can't cook steak for shit. The one which is supposed to be well done would be called medium rare by most people and the other two are practically blue!

  • The rare steak he cooked looks medium to me, and the medium he cooked looks like medium-rare.

  • lol this guy can't cook for shit hahahaha

  • steak how i know is good is even if you want it rare medium or well done you should only try turn it twice

  • The steak that I enjoy cooking in a heavy cast iron pan is the rib eye...but the ones I cook are at least twice that thick. I prefer them pink in the middle, but NOT bleeding. If I'm cooking over charcoal I usually cook a thick T-bone, again about twice as thick as the one in the video.

  • The rarer, the better.

  • lol, two were rare and the last one was medium.

  • WTF why does every steak video suck? always bad reviews lol

i wanna know how to cook med rare

  • noob

  • total greenhorn. id sooner except an invite to joseph fritzls house for a tea party than eat that steak.

  • lol

  • I need to know where this guy works, so I can make sure I never, ever go into that town. Yorkshire direction by the sounds of it. I'm gonna stay south of Milton Keynes to be safe.

  • wtf is he doing pressing it LMAO nub cook?

  • you arent supposed to press on a steak. that takes the juices out. and you arent supposed to let a steak sit on a tray to let the juices drip out. i am never eating at the restaurant

  • nonsense, that's how any good chef judges how the steak is cooked. And the guy was just leaving the meat to rest, all perfectly normal.

  • no your always supposed to let the meat "rest" after it is cooked, i do agree pressing the staek is bad tho.

  • Wow, you're one stupid, ignorant ahole.

Every good cook I've ever met always felt the tenderness of the steaks to feel if they're cooked properly. Second, you always let the steaks sit for a couple of minutes - it's called carryover heat.

  • this guy doesnt know what hes doing, the fist steak was blue rare, and h barely allowed it to char, instead of flipping it around. AND, the "medium well according to him" was really medium rare to medium, this guy just shat on the rule book.

  • he put salt onit befor hand that can dry it out Lol iv seen betta

  • ? He seasoned it. It's what the majority of people do to make it more flavourful.

  • Great video. Wish I could understand more of what he was saying though. :P

  • spot on

  • Don't you wish there was such a thing as smell-o-vision?

You know, smell what your watching. It would be perfect for cooking shows.

  • That would only make you drool more. It's already hard to watch cooking shows without going hungry and totally nuts about it hahaa

  • True but it would also make me get off my ass and go and eat a steak.

  • Hahaha at 2:50 he so touches the steak then puts his finger in his mouth ...

  • You didn't see -3:56 when he come out of the toilet without washing his hands and stuck a band-aid to the bottom of the black pan.

  • shit man, i like my steak rare but that first one was about to jump off the table and go back to chew some more grass.

  • @7xXSE7ENXx7 and if it did, id follow it and eat it while it was chewin on grass lmao even more Natural Flavoring! lmao jk.

  • @7xXSE7ENXx7 That is what rare is supposed to be. Just when you ask for rare in a pub or something it come out more medium than rare. Go to france and ask for rare and thats what you get

  • @7xXSE7ENXx7 lol

  • Mmmmmm... Thanks for the tips. wish i could taste it
